4:30 - that was fucking awesome Just learned that these cars exist and i would love nothing more than to try racing one of these things... this just looks unbelievably fun
I use to race legends when i was 10-12 years old and i ran a few road course races ontop of mostly being a oval driver and still race oval and no more road course but it was a wild racing road clurse in these tight racing and lots of bumping and white nuckle racing
Thinking about racing one of these with a few buddies after seeing the prices on some pretty well sorted cars! (Don’t know too much about the weekend to weekend expenses though). Definitely looks like a crazy amount of fun!
I only race the roadcourse races. And around here there are only about 7-8 a year. So it works out perfect. I can’t race every weekend like the other guys. Also autocross.
What is that gauge in the center of the dash? I thought it was a tach but it doesn't really seem to be rising and falling with the RPMs like you would expect.
These cars are so overpowered and traction limited they are fun to race. It looks like the trans shifts without a clutch right? I'd think you might want to have a foot shifter to keep your hands on the wheel, as these cars are "a handeful" to drive! Or a hand throttle or paddle shifters on the wheel.
I just got a Legends car and I'm too nervous about breaking my shit to find this out the hard way but....SHIFTING: Are you using the clutch as you're shifting up and down through the gears in race pace? It sounds like just a throttle blip. If you are clutching then I must say you are quite efficient, Sir. Because I can't tell.
I was struggling getting it to go in, but no, no clutch. Just throttle blip on up and down. My linkage was messed up so I need clutch for it to go in. Just bought a new fz09 car. Should be alloottt smoother
Don’t necessarily need a team, it helps… I’ve got good friends that help out.. I only race roadcourse which doesn’t happen this often in the southeast but IT IS growing… so it kinda works out for me… I can’t race every weekend anyways.. plus I race dirt track as well for somebody else and am obligated to be there…
This is sick.
Thanks man!!
Road courses are the best in these cars. Love it.
This is as good as it gets for those of us on a tight budget. This is racing plain and simple. And that ain’t never bad.😂
nothing about inex racing is cheap, you can race a modified for cheaper.

So smooth at the wheel.
this looks like a blast.... i need one
This makes me want to get my legends car back together so bad lol.
Very good drive! Keep improving!
Thanks buddy!
So did you get it together.
You’re one of the smoothest Legends driver I’ve seen! Awesome work. I’d give anything to race these...😂
Idk about the smoothest haha! But thanks man! Means a lot!
@@rayyoder6545 Looks smooth to me😂 You’re welcome!
look for rentals man, you just need gear and etc. you can start racing soon if you wanted
@@alexandercyr1344 Are rentals easy to come by or are there not many companies that offer this?
That was so much fun to watch
Thank you! Was such an intense race haha
@@rayyoder6545 I imagine so. I was holding my breath half the time and I wasn't driving lol. Soon though. Looking hard into getting into legends.

I do track days at AMP in a miata and this looks like a blast. What do the running costs look like?
@@aleks138 brand new car is 14k. Used 6-9k
Legends are built in Harrisburg, N.C. They started with 1200 cc motorcycle engines. Not sure what the specs are now.
I went to my grandmas and their nabor has one of these things they look so fun
Just like iRacing only more wrecks. Hey #6 go hit the pace car!
What is that gauge in the center of the dash? I thought it was a tach but it doesn't really seem to be rising and falling with the RPMs like you would expect.
It’s a tach, just wasn’t working properly at that moment
100% getting into this
Hell yea man! Do it!
ace driving
Thank you!!
I am seriously considering a legends car. What kind of helmet you running?
Zamp rrc helmet.
I didn't know these cars had a road course series! What is the series these cars run in road races? USAC?
I think just the inex roadcourse series. They only run like 6-7 roadcourse races a year here in the southeast. I think it will grow though.
Thinking about getting into Legends cars, this video makes me wonder if I'm cut out for it lol...
Hahaha it’s hectic for sure!! You’ll get the hang of it!!
This makes me wish I still had my dwarf car. What do you run for a motor?
Yamaha mt09 engine😉

@@mailbox2557 yea I mean you need an inex license for the year but yup. Brand new car is 16k, used is 6-9k
@@rayyoder6545 thx for the help man
In any racing car. The less you move the steering wheel, the faster you'll be. And you move the steering wheel a lot.
Agree with you on that one
Are you allowed to set up a paddle shifter?
They will allow it if you are handicap I believe. Otherwise no. All gotta be spec
Are these different then the circle track ones
Same thing, just set up for road-course.
my man has a steering offset on a road course
You mean the steering wheel not being straight? I just didn’t put it on the right spline like an idiot haha
You are always slower on straight line because you click the clutch
I know I can’t get it to go in when I don’t, gotta get better.
You ain’t lying
@@rayyoder6545 you can shift without using clutch if you lift the gas pedal a bit
How do you get into this racing?
Just buy a car at the local legends dealer wherever you live. New is roughly 16k.
This guy was short shifting like crazy
Temps were high and didn’t feel like blowing it up lol
I don’t even know if short shifting would help lol
