The book of Daniel is accepted as a forgery by modern day independent Bible scholars! It claims to be written at the end of the sixth century or early in the fifth century but independent scholars have shown it was in fact written centuries later around 165BCE!
Before this period there were no angels known by name and a ‘prophet’ called Daniel was unknown! The Angel called Gabriel first appears towards the end of the book of Daniel in the expanded (forged) Hebrew section, the original text was written in Aramaic! I have no idea whether Muhammad suffered from epilepsy or not, but you raise a very good question. Why would God allow his prophet to suffer such symptoms? After all, God is omnipotent and could have sent revelations to Muhammad without causing such a reaction in him. Today, the link between religious delusions and the various forms of psychosis is well established. Psychiatric hospitals are full of people who believe they are in communication with God. God would have course known about such a link with mental illness, yet appears unconcerned that it might cause doubt and skepticism of his crucial and final message to mankind. Whether Muhammad was epileptic or not, one has to admit that it is reasonable to expect an Omniscient and Omnipotent God would avoid causing such doubts.

    • @elifern889
      @elifern889 Před rokem +9

What you said is absolutely correct. Some of the prophets in the Biblical tradition seem to be literally mentally sick. Take Abraham for an example. Abraham was a very old man and claims to have spoken with God on numerous occasions. These conversions often ended up in serious harm. On one instance, Abraham amputates his own foreskin and declares all of his descendants to go down the same mutilation, "as a covenant from God." And then later on something worse occurred. Abraham believed that God was telling him to sacrifice his son on Mount Moriah to see if he loves God more than his son Isaac. Fortunately the sacrifice didn't occur as "God intervened." I personally believe that Abraham is loosely based off a real person that explains the origins of the Jews and their most important customs, but that isn't the main point if Abraham is real or not. If someone like this existed today, we would all call that person insane. Believing God is talking to you and demanding that you and your offspring must circumcise as a mark of the flesh or demanding his son to be sacrifice to him, does not seem like a benevolent entity.

That's the same issue I had with the muddy spring verse in particular and all the other controversial verses in general. Even if it actually means what apologists say it means, why would God, knowing of, for example the Egyptian belief that the sun travelled in a boat to its setting place and similar superstitions, frame this verse like that. Is it to cause doubts? Why do we need to know how Zulkarnain perceived the sun to be setting and the nature of the spring?
In general, why does the religion have to look so similar to the superstitions it came to replace? Why the black stone? Why the story of the wall gecko being the only animal blowing in Abraham's fire? Why won't grandpa Zakariah speak for three days as a token from God...?

I remember a long time ago, I read a very old book online called "The History of the Origin, Family, Birth, Education and Teachings of the Great False Prophet Mohammed" published by Broer Jansz in 1640. He was a book printer in 17th century Netherlands and he wanted to debunk Islam. The book isn't the most accurate thing in the world and it contains illustrations, which shows 7th century Arabs in Contemporary European clothing (which was common in illustrations at the time). But one of the big claims this book made was a new revolutionary idea. That Muhammad didn't see the Angel Gabriel nor was he cursed by the Devil, but he suffered an epilepsy which caused him to hallucinate. From my research on Muhammad's life, I find this to be most likely what happened in that cave. Of course, the author being Christian, this logic can also apply to his own prophets, but that's a discussion for another day.

But, in actual fact it was Mohammed’s opportunistic, business woman, wife *Khadija who informed him that it was the Angel Gabriel he had seen and that Mohammed was a messenger of god!

I am an epeleptic who did a degree on human vibration in relation to visual perception and interpretation. I have all types of seizures and did alot of research on this subject. There is so much that explains in great detail why neurological problems and environment can change your perceptions. sorry to say there is no soul as the word is made up by thiest also an individual experience is not enough to prove anything and never once didnt conect to somthing already in your body or mind . Even with countless studies of recorded events it always comes down to being learnt or enviromental factors that shows specifically that individuals only have visions of thier specific faiths e.g near death experiences when they see thier heaven as it was already described. There is alot we know and more to learn but it is extreemly frustrating if you dont have an answer to just insert god or faith its harmful and prevents people getting help they need. maybe mohamad would of got it if people had the right support. Its obvious he wasnt well even crazier people couldnt understand it so just enabled his dillusions n still do to this day. I have experienced pure happyness during a seizure and if i was a thiest i would of described it that way . As an athiest it can cleary be explained by chemicals in different parts of my brain n the part responsible was the area usually effected when on psychodelic drugs and religious revilations there is explinations if you look. Thank you for the video helps towards stopping stigma of these conditions and also misrepresentation so its apreciated.

Trance is a state of semi-consciousness in which a person is not self-aware and is either altogether unresponsive to external stimuli (but nevertheless capable of pursuing and realizing an aim) or is selectively responsive in following the directions of the person (if any) who has induced the trance. Trance states may occur involuntarily and unbidden. The term trance may be associated with hypnosis, meditation, magic, flow, prayer, and altered states of consciousness.

I am an atheist, but this theory is bullshit.
What the preachers are saying, is not what is in the Quran or the Hadiths, and they are MENTIONING what OTHER religions critical of Islam claim about Muhammed.
To them, these symptoms are clear signs of divine revelation, because they point to the fact that they are seriously affecting him beyond imagination or hallucination. But that's beside the point.
As far as this theory, I will explain why it's nonsense:
Epilepsy of any kind, when it produces episodes of seizures or loss of consciousness, does so in a completely random and unpredictable manner. That is absolutely contrary to what happened to Muhammed.
There is a reason why people with epilepsy are not admitted in the armed forces. Muhammed fought, survived, and won TOO MANY battles for this to be epilepsy. IF he was a true epileptic he would have had seizures during AT LEAST some of his battles, and they would have surely been recorded. I would even venture to say that he would more likely have been killed if he'd had an episode mid battle.
But he didn't. How conveniently selective of his "epilepsy". I can imagine him having some other kind of psychotic break during his "revelations" that at times closely resembled epilepsy, or maybe he was a GREAT actor who had observed other epileptics. Who knows. But it sure as hell would have been impossible for him to be epileptic himself.

Not different for the tribes of Arabia of the 7th century . The writers of Hadeeths and other accounts thought so too - it was vindication that a "supernatural " force was active when such states happened to Mohammed. Otherwise they wouldn't have described them in detail. That conclusion was wrong , as we very well know now !

It is clear the whole thing was fake. The first fright maybe happened. But the fact that his so-called revelations about the Last Day are taken in part almost word for word from the Gospel of St Matthew which was known to the Nazarene and Ebionite Christians around him at the time, the fact that he had the supposed Night Journey to Jerusalem shortly after the tribes of Medina said he might be the Messiah the Jews talked of, the fact that the Quraysh accused him of having people recite to him day and night, the fact he had scribes to write down his so-called revelations and that one of them, Abdullah b. Sa'd fled to Mecca saying 'If Muhammad's a prophet I'm half a prophet!' The fact that Muhammad had Abdullah's name on a death list when he conquered Mecca and the atrocities that he and his followers committed at the Battle of Badr show a ruthless desire for vengeance and conquest. Within five years of his arrival in Medina in 622AD, all the Jews who rejected him were exiled or dead. This guy was no weak epileptic. Even Aisha saw through his act saying how 'convenient' his later revelations were as a pretext for action. When the men did not want to attack Tabuk in the hot season, the 'revelation' came down 'The fires of hell burn hotter!' There is not a line in the Quran that cannot be explained by what was going on in his life at any given moment. 😁

Qathem al-Quraishi claimed that a divine revelation called him to prophecy, and gave him the Koran. The traditional Islamic teachings tell us that Muhammad claimed to have been dominated by spirit when he was retired in the cave of Hira. He was forty years old. That spirit squeezed him so hard three times that he could not breathe and thought he would die by suffocation (Bukhari, Alwahi 3.1.1). She then gave him the first Qur'an, which contained the first mistakes of the Qur'an, which is that God “created man from a relationship” (Al-Alaq 96: 2).
That was clearly a demonic evil spirit, because he tried to harm him. No one saw this alleged meeting. For this can not be proved. At first, Muhammad thought that a jinn or demon😈was deceiving him, or the cave might be inhabited. But his first wife, Khadija, and her cousin, Waraqa ibn Nouffal (his real father), urged him to believe it was divinely alive. It is impossible for this to be a noble appeal to prophecy. The Quran was already Waraqa's as he was a writer of Nasara Quran as a Nasara. Seek the true Messiah, who hears you through his living Spirit, he will judge the world and can transform your life, do miracles and show you the true one God.

OR WAS IT …… Obsessive Compulsion Disorder (OCD)?
OCD as the name implies drives the sufferer to perform ritualistic habits which are virtually impossible to refrain from. They have disturbing intrusive thoughts and perform repetitive actions, certain rituals are performed to alleviate the stress and symptoms.
Indicators: Do they ring a bell?!
“Obsessive hand washing, body washing, intrusive thoughts, repetitive checking, extreme religiosity, aversion to certain numbers and patterns, nervous ticks, spatial and symmetrical organisation, visual irregularities and obsessions with some other numbers and calculations.
Doctors, dieticians and modern day nutritionalists agree that a common factor in OCD is diet, specifically low levels of serotonin. Serotonin is present in the brain and is a neurotransmitter and sends brain signals throughout the neurological network. Low levels cause repetitive thoughts, obsessions, mental echoes and eventually an anxiety and persecution disorder. Another side effect of low serotonin is depression, Mohammed suffered from this in his early 20’s.
In order to reduce the symptoms and ease the overall condition patients are prescribed foods rich in ‘tryptophan’ an amino acid that the body uses to create serotonin! Ironically one of the foods that contain high amounts of the product - is pork! The other food group which is the most beneficial for the brain is fish (Omega 3 fish oil), not a lot of fresh fish in Arabia! Regions which consume large amounts of fish, Asia and Oceania, have a lower prevalence of OCD compared to the rest of the world. Arabia ranks significantly higher in the OCD tables, almost three times more than developed countries.
Ask yourself, are these actions normal or indicative of OCD?
Narrated Maimuna: “I placed water for the bath of the Prophet. He washed his hands twice or thrice and then poured water on his left hand and washed his private parts. He rubbed his hands over the earth (and cleaned them), rinsed his mouth, washed his nose by putting water in it and blowing it out, washed his face and both forearms and then poured water over his body. Then he withdrew from that place and washed his feet.”
    Sahih Bukhari 1:5:257
Because of Mohammed the number 3,7 and more specifically odd numbers, are a reoccurring theme in the Islamic traditions. For example, the beginning of his affiliation for the number probably started during his early years as a Muslim, as it’s noted that he would stay up to 3 days and 3 nights while in a cave on Jabal Thawr mountain (he and Abu Bakr hid there to evade persecution from the Meccans).
Likewise, the Islamic concept of ‘temporary marriages’ (sanctioned prostitution and adultery) lasted for as much as 3 days, or 3 months.
Also, it’s been recorded that the ‘prophet’, after conquering a town, would stay there for 3 days. While anyone could imply that these coincidences are just that, the depth of his obsessive counting and devotion to compulsive numbered routine is staggering.
It has been recorded that whenever Muhammad greeted someone, he would do so by repeating the introduction 3 times.
Whenever he spoke a sentence, he would also repeat it 3 times.
Whenever Muhammad had a visitor, he would demand that they knock on his door and ask to enter - 3 times.
Likewise, the ‘prophet’ also commanded his traveling companions not to take off their shoes for 3 days, and 3 nights. No logical reason was given. Just another one of his compulsions.
Again, he incorporated superstition into his bizarre obsessive rituals and commanded his disciples to clean their noses 3 times upon waking. The reason for this? The Prophet said: “When anyone awakes from sleep, he must clean his nose three times, for the devil spends the night in the interior of his nose.” Muslim 97
Furthermore, not only were his superstitions introduced, but his obsession with ‘symmetry’: Uthman b. Abu al-'As reported that he came to Allah's Messenger and said: “Allah's Messenger, the Satan intervenes between me and my prayer and my reciting of the Qur'an and he confounds me. Thereupon Allah's Messenger said:, That is (the doing of a) Satan (devil) who is known as Khinzab, and when you perceive its effect, seek refuge with Allah from it and spit three times to your left. I did that and Allah dispelled that from me.” Sahih Muslim 26:5463 Once again, spitting must always be performed - 3 times. In fact, the actual act of spitting while counting up to ‘3’ is echoed multiple times in the Hadith.”
Para.Ref. The People vs Muhammad - Psychological Analysis. JK Sheindlin

It’s Khadijah(1st wife),who told Mohammad first with the help of a Waraqah ibn Nawfal, that, he’s a Prophet not Angel Jibrel or Al Lah, plus in the quran Angel Jibrel never introduced himself as Jibrel when he first met @ cave Hira.. This makes it clear , Mohammad either was mental disorder or the one he spoke was Satan..🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🤦‍♀️

Have you heard about the woman who went to mohammad because she was concerned about her hijab when she had seizures? What do you think about that, it seems they were aware of the occurance of some epileptic symptoms.

Devils advocate here. How did Muhammad - an epileptic schizophrenic - come up with verses full of poetry straight after a full-blown seizure, when it's expected that one should be in a state of delirium at that point? Also, wouldn't his companions identify his 'revelations' as epilepsy since they knew of it's existence even at that time i.e. hadith of the black lady. Why had they rightly identified her condition as epilepsy, while at the same time calling Mo's condition 'revelation from god?' Cognitive dissonance, or has something been missed? I hear muslims make these arguements all the time when Mo's neurological and psychiatric disorders are highlighted.

Also he was not coming up right away. Numerous narrations state he would be lethargic & fatigued like an intoxicated person after revelations. He'd come to himself slowly. This is in part 1to4of the Epileptic Prophet series 🙂

@@hannan4518 could you provide a timestamp where this is mentioned in part 7? The hadith of the black lady was addressed in part 2 however Gondal didn't really answer the question.

@@MILLZMAN90 the word Sara's initially did not refer to Epilepsy. It referred to demon possession. Therefore the premise is flawed. This is in lanes lexicon. So no they identified her, as in other narrations that she was demon possessed.
The whole part 7 is highlighting exceptional cases of Epileptics achieving success in literary, political & artistic spheres of life. Your point won't make sense after part 7.

@@hannan4518 thanks for the clarification. It is definitely evident that this man was indeed epileptic as well as schizophrenic. The double standards that his companions had in regards to labelling is what I find astounding. For the black lady it was "demon-possession" for Mo it was "divine revelation". It's either cognitive dissonance (most probably the case) on their part or they had another way of differentiating the two.

Lol! It’s epilepsy, but not as you know it. It’s a special kind of epilepsy that’s only felt by the prophet.
