Can't agree with you my friend. Bailey has an unpredictable variation of acceleration and direction (because of his lightning speed, razor quick reflexes and equally quick thinking) . Pepe doesn't have this level of speed fluctuation. Look at how many times a defender misjudges Bailey's pace and intention resulting in them being completely dismissed. He repeatedly accelerates or decelerates while running in a straight line and as a result he's hard to shadow. Pepe has good close ball skills, very quick reflexes, but much slower changes of pace than Bailey. Pepe is also less balanced on the ball than Bailey is, who, at his best, can produce the illusion (when maneuvering in close traffic) that the ball is attached to his ankle by a short elastic string and is following his every leg move. Only the truly greats can do that my friend. Bailey has also now gotten over his once silly penchant of showboating to beat the same defender more that once while dribbling forward....he now prefers the quick pass to teammates after dismissing an opponent or group of opponents. This transformation in his game of not holding up the ball excessively has transformed him a truly dangerous attacking force. His skill is unique. Leon Bailey, at his best, cannot be marked. If he can keep away from serious injury there will be no stopping him this season...but that's a big if I'm afraid. He is injury prone.
