Dude, so I'm out here in Holbrook, AZ. Just driving through on my dg content journey. Wife and I decide to stop at a pretty sweet ball and disc golf spot. Middle of NOWHERE off I-40.
There's some ball golf instructor and kids playing golf. I say hello to one of them and we start playing. Beautiful place...will post soon.
The ball golf instructor is amazing. Hits an amazing drive and ball lands like 20 feet from me.
We strike up a convo. He tells me his nephew just won a dg tournament in Texas. I'm like...ball golf? No...dg. I'm talking to AB's great uncle. He has a shirt that says Barela on it for the biz they own. This is the town they're all from. Wife dropped her debit card, kid finds it, brings it back to my wife...he LOOKS like AB.
They're building another dgc out here and the uncle invited us to play. I'm going today, if I can find it, to play on his grandpa's property. They're going to donate it to the town or whatever. This is an AWESOME family. Props to the whole Barela fam!

I've been watching disc golf since 2016, so been a while now. I'm used to seeing people throw crazy far. Something that still messes with me to this day is how every person who throws super duper far all have something in common, they never look like they are throwing very hard or giving some crazy effort. Always makes me feel like wow something in my shot must be terribly inefficient because I feel like I'm putting my life force into discs to get 350. Maybe I need to stop living near the poverty line that way I can go watch an event in person.
I had a guy in university like this. Played no sports growing up but had a insane wrists/ arm.
Toss a baseball 460+ or football 65 yards.
Any video with AB is gonna be good, but a video with AB is 2024🔥🔥
