deserved. that guy is just an example how to be a great player almost in any sport. He always knows when he has to step up and when its someone elses turn (played great in Ronaldos "shadow" managed to carry and lead the team after Cristiano left and is always reliable in important moments)

3:01 I remember this match. Benzema was horrible in this match, missing easy sitters meanwhile Ronaldo already had a brace. When Réal got a penalty, Ronaldo decided to give it to Benzema so he could gain his confidence, letting go of a chance to score a hattrick.
That was his first time he did that. Messi did that a lot of times before that. Giving his penalty to Suarez and Neymar who were scoreless while messi had 2 and could’ve had a Hattrick. He started it

For the people who don't know this man, he is one of the most humble and most talented footballers in the world and currently the best player in the world. He was performing really well as a youngster then went to Real Madrid which is basically the biggest club in the world but his performances were overshadowed by Cristiano Ronaldo (One of the best players ever) and had to take the mantle when he left in 2018 and has done that so well and finally a month ago was rewarded as the best player in the world.

I used to be one of those clowns who used to scoff at the idea that the reason his goal tally was low during the Ronaldo era was because he was in more of a support role. I just sort of wrote him off as overrated.
I have never been so overwhelmingly wrong about anything in my life. He has been sensational, and his partnership with Vinicius Jr. is a sight to behold as a football fan, even though as someone who supports Barcelona, it causes me immense heartache.
