- For Mother's Day this year, I cooked up a storm for all the ladies in the family. On the menu, we had curry duck, curry chicken, curry fish, dhal, rice, coconut chutney, and sponge cake for dessert.

Hi Vedesh all your food look good the only thing I would like to say is whenever you have a pot on the fire with a long handle always turn the handle away from you so you will avoid hitting it and causing the oil to spill over

🙏namaste with so many good local cooks and food going out world wide I would like to give a lil correction on a mistake many of you repeatedly make. It confuses people on the outside looking on. It is about the spice you call SAFFRON it's not saffron. That is TURMERIC. Saffron is the most expensive spice world wide. So when you say saffron there are many who can't afford it. Please correct it. Thank you. Correction nothing. Tumeric is commonly called Saffron by almost all Trinidadians. It is part of our local linguistics and has long been a part of our local vocabulary. Of course we know what real Saffron is. We know what tumeric is. We know they are not the same. It is part of our culture and anyone who loves it will understand that we say saffron when referring to tumeric with some simple research. But na the spices police have to come and try to sound educated and end up sounding stupid instead.

Not everything you see on youtube is reality eh. Plenty youtubers like to portray a certain image (happy family, food, fun) but are actually the opposite.
