It's normal to gravitate towards certain personalities/vocals/styles of dance. Don't see the issue with some people.... We're all here to support BTS' music so I'm not sure why the vocal minority loves in-fighting so much.

Dude this doesn't even go into the struggles they faced. When they started out, all 7 were sharing a single bedroom. And that is just the tip of the iceberg. Hell, Suga just had to have surgery because of a shoulder injury he received after being hit by a car. This was at the beginning of the band's time together and he was so afraid of being cut from the team that he hid it from BigHit and everyone. If there is one group in this world that deserves international acclaim after fighting tooth-and-nail to get ahead, it is BTS.

Yeah... Twitter is a really hard place to handle. But at the end of day, Twitter is the core of the fandom. They prepare the goals for the comebacks, make streams party, keep tracking data for charts and more. Don't judge so hard, when we have to protect the boys from attacks every single day! I know sometimes could overflow, but trust me, we are protective for a reason.

I think Jimin gets a lot of praise and attention the same as Jungkook and they are the two most popular members. And people get upset that the other members dont get praised because theyre biased toward them instead. Personally I am biased toward the rap line and I dont like it when people dont give them attention especially Joon and Hobi but Im not going to attack people for preferring other members because thats hypocritical and also stupid.

Let me give you advice: don’t delve into the storyline or solo videos until you’ve watched all the biggest group MVs. The storyline is big and can be confusing, and it’s a lot easier to catch details and such when you’ve seen all the videos to make connections. Their solo songs are amazing, but can be held easily until after you do all the group MVs. Fun facts: Spring Day has NEVER LEFT the South Korean charts since 2017. BTS nearly disbanded in 2018. Their song written by JK called Your Eyes Tell is the song for a movie soundtrack. It’s a gorgeous song.
but its also good to watch the videos to feel the emotion through the songs.

About the toxic people in our fandom yes, im not gonna lie to you... our fandom because is so big it has his nice side and his dark side, there’s indeed bad apples but im so glad and so happy it didn’t stop you from getting into bts so thank you so much for giving the boys a chance !!
not to mention jimin is trained in several schools of martial arts. he uses all of his expertise and passion to his advantage. i have all the same interests as him, but it's just too bad i never got to explore dancing or further my martial arts training, so i admire him a lot for his versality. i never understand why some stans (not just ARMYs) get salty when someone is in awe of one or a few out of the whole group. just means they probably relate more to them in some way.

And as u see they are diverse, so if somethings not your thing-let is know and we will point u in the direction you like! I’ve seen them live, both BTS and army has more energy for those 2.5 hours than anything I’ve ever seen, it was amazing. I think a good guide is "who is BTS? the seven members of Bangtan". It maybe a little dated but it is goes deeper into each individual member.
XCeleste makes really good guides. Nobody to Legends, Who are BTS?, etc. The next songs you look at should be Mic Drop, On Kinetic Manifesto, their live performances of Black Swan, Mikrokosmos and Home on Jimmy Fallon. This was a really good information guide. It brushes over a lot of the hardship and struggles though.

I think "This is BTS: Introduction part 1" by xCeleste is better video for understanding who BTS is. It will give you better summary of BTS and you will be surprise.
What a journey! I don't mean to belittle other group but Bts keep on winning due timing, luck, hard work, and support. I saw a lot of talented groups who does not able to see the sunlight because they have no support, especially from the company. They do debut, release another single, then the company disband them because they are unprofitable. These guys journey is really like a cinderella story, instead of miraculously change in 1 night they are grinding their skills on bb200 started at #171 in 2015 to #1 in 2018. They are not an overnight sensation, but they are working hard with principal in mind to achieved where they belong now...in the heart of millions of army.
I was really happy to hear that despite your fear of some people being aggressive and all those within this fandom, you still reacted to our boys. I think this is the best, and best-edited, introduction video to start with. If you want to know more, any of the ones from xCeleste are quite good.
And I think the show made the right move not casting JK. He was too shy to be interesting on a reality-type show. It was much better for everyone that he went right to being a trainee. He's still super shy a lot of the time. Especially if he's not with the other members.

Someone told me that they have released over 300 songs when you count everything in their mixtapes, Soundcloud, etc. I haven't actually counted but I do have almost 100 favorites on my Tidal playlist.

Dope is one of my all-time fave BTS songs. Once I saw both ON Kinetic Manifesto and Dope, there was no turning back for me. I went far far down the rabbit hole.

What gives me even more chills is how as I watch this video, bts got another no.1 for life goes on- the first time a korean song gets no.1 on billboard hot 100. They also have a no.1 on billboard 200 charts, billboard global charts, billboard global excluding US chart, billboard artist 100, and the top social chart. They're the first act in HISTORY to do such a feat. And what gives me more chills is how they had zero radio support because radios simply refuse to play korean songs and zero playlisting. They did it without bundles, without radio or promo, without collabs, without playlisting. Im so proud of how far they have come😭 they still remain humble, down to earth and loving and I think its the reason why God always looks after them and why armys have their back
The reason why that is “moderate success” is because that most of the money goes to the business like JYP, CUBE, BIGHIT, because obviously they themselves need to make a profit to stay a company. Adding to that there are usually 5+ members and BTS having 7 they then have to split the money they are given after the company takes their portion. So what may seem a lot for a soloist or someone in America isn’t much in KPOP. Many groups tend to not get much money at all and are in strict money budgets sadly. You have to be one of the top kpop to really get a lot of money
I once read in article that in Bighit they split the money like this:
50% for company (think about all the staffs + the manager himself + mv expenses + the tours + the building itself
cost it looks hella expensive)
50% (divided by 7) for BTS
I think they made it 50/50 because at first the company has only one support now it got two (or maybe 4 do the two other count?) Anyway thanks for wasting time with me 💜

one of the main reasons of bts's success is the message they give. the messages are always actual(in the beggining they are talking about school life, being a teenager, then as they grow up they make a content more mature and mature - loving yourself, finding yourself) to understand it you need to check out the lyrics of their songs and mostly not the main ones of the albums but others. the meaning in their songs is everywhere. their journey to this success and the lyrics in which they literally explain their struggles on their way to dream - all of it inspires and comfort many people, they even save people from suicide(yes that true, may sound to much but it is true). like someone told you maybe: bts comes to people when people need it. some of the songs to haters as well - that is lit actually. and yes the personalities are the reason too. like you said before they are so humble in spite of their fame, each of them is unique and have their some kind of traits, local jokes about them and so on. all of this stuff to know more about their personality is on youtube, is better to watch maybe funny or sad edits. all of these really unite people - army. this fandom is like a huge family as well as the bts. you should check out some documentaries about them(burn the stage, bring the soul, break the silence, all of it are both like the movies and episodes) - there are explained there struggles like teamwork, behind the stage traumas etc. they live and work together for so many years even though they are all different, so because of that they become a family. the other reason is their love to fandom - army - they produce songs to us where they thank army for everything they have(like we are bulletproof: the enternal; magic shop). the connection between bts and army is incredible (like in the "life goes on" song: we connect to 7g). bts also famous for their fan's ages - like it is this group which is loved by everyone from the youngest to the oldest, there are like more than a half of the fans who are older than 25 or sth, bc of the message as i said before, it relates to everyone. in concerts, award shows perfomances they never forget about army and they always add those signs which relate to army. if you're really wanna dive into this, which i really recommend you btw. then you have to watch lyrics videos of their songs. the diskography is huge so you'll definitely gonna have a great time watching it. also some good quality videos (from nobody to legends, bts are just people). to laugh - drunk bts are the best bts, bts making people feel poor, bts making people feel rich, bts being extra af in america, namjoon being done with bts. i think you guess what i mean when i say to laugh lol. an entertaining part also is on the platform vlive, there they have famous "run episodes" there you will learn about each of them a lot - it's where they play games and have fun. those are just a little part of it, then you'll find more good content. i don't know actually which songs to recommend cause there a lot like too much. think you should start with the most famous - the main songs of the album with mvs. then army maybe will recommend you a good stuff. in bts suga/min yoongi has his mixtapes(his third name is agust d (read backwards - d t means daegu town (suga's hometown) the goes "suga" his nickname). highly recommend you to watch lyrics for his songs. also mixtapes from j-hope and rm. with lyrics as well. i think i should stop repeating a word lyrics, bc i stated it clear that bts always goes with lyrics. and i should stop writing this comment. hope you will enjoy all of it and welcome to our fandom. these boys are more than just "handsome faces". they are hardworking and many celebrities and kpop idols say that about them. thank you for a your attention.
p.s and yes bias thing - hate that people start writing like stop looking only at jimin, it is okay to have a favourite member, i do have a bias too taehyung but genuienly love the whole group. so maybe after listening to them more, learning more about their personalities, features you'll find a bias, or maybe not - a lot of army don't have a favourite one. hate that word actually, it mess everything up but u know what i mean.

You're so right about the personality part. Most people find BTS through their music but stay not only for that but for who they are as people. It's why we ARMY are so passionate about this and want to support them. I have never been an actual fan of any artist or group before BTS. (And yes, I dare say they love us very much, it never feels one-sided like you're just adoring someone who only wants your money, it feels mutual)
