Lived there for almost 8 years, i was so surprised about that incident. I love that so many Japanese CZcamsrs are "on patrol" to save the image on Sushiro and other conveyor belt sushi places. Domo Arigato.

I just came back to Belgium last week after visiting Japan and oh my god, this was a wonderful trip, your country is amazing George, I visited a lot of places and I ate amazing foods, in fact I tested a Sushiro restaurant at Nagoya and this was delicious, the unagi eel oh my 🤤🤤🤤.

I now want to eat at Sushiro! We have Kura in some parts of the US but it's not as inexpensive or fresh as in Japan.
I also appreciate that you've shown me a new way to eat natto! Before, I always thought it was only for breakfast rice.
I love Japan🇯🇵 I ate Sushi at Kura in Chicago, and it was actually pretty good! I always eat Natto for lunch and dinner as well haha
@@GeorgeJapanI'm surprised you liked Kura! In Houston, my experience was that it's okay for the price, but overall not great. Especially the ramen! (The peanut ramen was a disappointment) I'll have to try Sushiro if I ever go to Japan. The Unagi looked absolutely amazing (Ootoro is my second favorite).

Sushiro was one of the first places I ate at during my recent stay in Japan! With a load of good fresh sushi and a few beers, I was blown away when my bill was less than 4000 yen. I'll definitely bring friends here when I come back!!

I hope that Sushiro get back to normal soon so that the many people that love eating there go back and continue enjoying their food!🙏🙏❤❤❤ I'm a massive sushi lover too,and I often go to Let's Sushi in England,they don't have a conveyer belt as it's only a small shop. They make the sushi fresh and put it in clear top boxes,so you can choose different varieties to buy. They also have Onigiri wraps which I love and they also do bento boxes!! All are so scrummy,I do buy quite a lot,as I love it!! There's also a restaurant called Tsuki which I need to try! Hope to see you if you come to England on your next world tour,come to Yorkshire George pleeease,then you can try our Sunday dinner you'd love it!!😋😋😋 As always great content from you,was so jealous watching you eat all that sushi lol!! @@GeorgeJapan I always do! I bought a JR pass and went to Kyoto, Osaka, Nagano, Toyama, and Kanazawa. The price of the JR pass is increasing in September/October, so I had to take advantage of it now. Anyway, love your videos!
I got to go here in March when I went and people were still talking about that teenager! Such a yummy place to eat tho! The fatty tuna was my absolute favorite followed by the salmon and cheese and salmon mozzarella one! 🤤🤤

I would say it’s more American thing. I’ve never seen it at Sushi restaurants in Japan. But you could ask servers whether it’s possible to make it not
its very sad to me what happened. also the fact that they dont run sushi on the conveyor belt constantly, so sad. I feel like that is part of the atmosphere of places like this, youre always kinda looking over whats coming on the conveyor belt, sometimes you see something that looks amazing and youve gotta try, and then sometimes your absolute favorite sushi comes by and you get all excited and grab two. idk theres just something so happy about the memories i have at restaurants like this, and it is very sad to me that some kid terrorized the patrons of these places like this.

I’m still angry at that kid for ruining conveyor belt sushi for so many people. I got to go to a conveyor belt sushi place but not to Sushiro - it still looks fun, though! Everything looked delicious (except for the natto), thanks for the video! And I’m for gari. 👍👍👍 I did go to a fancier pants conveyor belt place called Nemuro Hanamaru in the Kitte building, I’d recommend it to a friend. A lot of the Japanese customers were ordering a big crab legs dish, I kinda regret not figuring out what it was so that I could order it too 😢

What about wasabi? I add it to my sushi... it is not customary to add some yourself or this was a matter of George's preferences? I know sushi comes with a dab of wasabi between rice and fish... maybe it is just so well tempered one does not need to add more? Eager to learn how it is done in Japan!

Great, great vid, thx! But as a Brazilian from São Paulo, we NEVER put strawberries in sushi (at least not in São Paulo). Some restaurants do create some local variation but never fruit except for mango in California Rolls. You were most likely unlucky with your restaurant choice, sorry about that.

I was taught by my Korean husband in Japan who has many Japanese friends that you must roll the chopsticks to get rid of splinters. I did not know it was wrong. I will use chopsticks properly next time. Thank you for letting us know.
