You know, my friends, it's not everyday that you get to go out trackside and see over $20,000,000 roll right in front of your eyes. For me, however, it's been three days. Three days, three trains, and one very curious railfan have combined to produce an international quest discover what these things are, where they come from, and where they are going. And now that it's over, I can confidently say I learned a lot, and I hope you do too now that I can share my discoveries with you all.
To the kind Siemens employee who took time out of his day for an interview, God bless your soul. I cannot stress how critical your information was to this video. Thank you so much.
More thanks to these international channels for being so generous in giving me footage. Truly could not have completed this project without you all:
@Kilistrains
@Rotausleuchtung
@trainspottinginaustria8978
And finally,@greenvilledistrictrailfans, appreciate y'all for supplying more footage.
God bless. I'll see you soon, out on the High Iron.

NEW TRANSFORMER DROPPED
Omg it has a caboose!
Excellent video Nathan
@LocoPro.This is not a hobby anymore. It's a calling! I loved the beauty of the combination of technical know how, and inter continental transportation of this Siemens unit, combined with a great sense of humour, which keeps the lay person interested. You were made for a time like this. I say this with all certainty. This is your Purpose! Keep it up Son.❤
I've always wanted to see one of those trains!
Fantastic. I literally watched this after an entire day of fanning central florida - this is why this hobby doesn't get old.
There's always something to enjoy, man. :)
Some of those end up in lordstown Ohio at a new power plant being built right now
I didnt know I wanted to learn about massive loads of siemens crossing from austria to the US but now i do
Excellent video, likes from me !
great video! personally i recorded 4 times this type of transport in Poland to nearby power station, but this video was interesting anyway. it was nice to see how it is on the other side of the world
I was watching this then halfway through my friend screams, “YOUR WATCHING SIEMENS?!? AYOOO” ☠️
Beautiful video and train from Austria 🇦🇹 best wishes and greetings from Austria
The sound of unexpected singing rails strikes fear into the heart of railfans
Actually, bruh, I thought I was tweaking. 😂

Awesome video! Wow, I had no idea those loads came from so far away! That’s really cool! As for the port they come in at it might be Morehead City, NC because everything that gets sent via NS for export goes there but don’t quote me on that. As for the destination I believe it’s somewhere in Alabama or west. When the transformers go up the North End they still go to Alabama from what I’ve seen every time. They can’t run the East End due to a really tight tunnel in Cook Springs, AL so they have to go up to Chattanooga and down.
This is gonna be great and I m sure this train came from Charlotte NC
I’ve never seen one of these loads the only loads I get are smaller transformers
Every month or so the UP line in my town will have a Siemens VIA Rail Set movement. I’ve seen it. It’s kind of crazy
W vid
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
Sorry but from the thumbnail it looks like the load has two huge 1x2 LEGO jumper plates and I can't unsee it now
Dang it, now I can’t unsee it. 😂
0:49 some of these UP AC44s got flashing ditchlights, the real hot stuff that could make anyones transformer blow up with Siemens
Yeah, I think it’s mainly the ex-SP ones. Seen it once.
@@LocoProYep, I believe the 63xx series has them
🤨
I hate that I actually checked my airpod battery level at 9:06… CURSE YOU PERRY THE-

Austrian here! This was really interesting, the magic of the YT algorithm 🙂. A few minor things: the plant you showed on Google Maps is the one in Linz, not in Weiz. Compared to Weiz, which is a small provincial town, Linz is a somewhat larger city with lots of industry in and around it. Your pronunciation of Weiz was pretty good though, except that in German, the z is always pronounced as "ts", like in "cats". Same for Linz, but I think after an n, this does not make a huge difference. Also, "Fracht" is just the German word for freight. I cannot give you a good example how to pronounce the "ch", as this sound does not exist in English. You could maybe approximate it with "ck", so think something like "frackt" with a very soft k.
I thank you for this correction. Amazing that you found this. Have a good day. :)
@@LocoPro Click the speaker icon on Google Translate to hear foreign pronunciations. Choose "Detect language" in the "Translate from" dropdown box on the left if you don't know the correct language (it will switch to the correct language after you type in the word).
3rd times the charm lol.
your pronunciations are too funny help 😂
Just realized it tomorrow, I’m mad now.
Good things come to those who wait. ;)
