How to Make a Miniature Fairy Garden!
This weekend we took a giant weed patch and transformed it into this magical Fairy Garden on a really small budget!
I cannot keep my kids out of their Fairy Garden! Everyday they are leaving little notes to the fairies and getting special messages on stones in response!
It is so magical and fun for both the kids and me! I am loving this fairy garden and can't wait to add to it year after year!
So what are you waiting for? Add a Fairy Garden to your existing garden with some miniature houses or furniture or create a new one in a pot or weed patch of your own!

Cas, I am 62 years young and I love fairy gardens. I still write notes to them every once in a while, I have been doing so since iI was a little girl. One of my great aunts had a fairy garden and when I would stay over her house we would go out and play in the garden together. I was a very poor child and she brought light into my life with the fairy garden so they hold a very special place in my heart. She was born and raised in Ireland and believed in fairies and so do thanks to her.

I laughed so hard when you talked about the notes! At our house, the tooth fairy gets a list of questions for every child and every tooth! We've built a whole fairy world. :-)
I love fairy gardens. I seen them on you-tube and decided that I was going to create some with grandkiddies that we can hopefully expand on year after year (I've got nooks and crannies on our property)...I think they look so magical, and having grandkids is a great excuse! You are making fond memories for your children! ~Dawne

You've inspired me. I've told my little granddaughter we're building a fairy garden and she's already fascinated. One quick suggestion, you could put a bit of bamboo fencing over the frost fence. Its really easy. People put them up with wire or plastic ties. They provide more privacy, look fantastic and don't cost much. Hope you don't think I'm being critical. Its just an idea that came to me. Anyway your fairy garden for the little ones is awesome! Its beautiful, and your kids will never forget making it with you.

This remibds me of my sons school project, he brought home a bag of bread crumbs and some glitter mixed together and the teacher wrote on the outside " this is magical reindeer food, please sprinkle in your yard so that santa can bring the reindeers to eat and drop off gifts". Wow... my son was so excited.. magical stuff is sooo fun..... awesome conversation piece too.. tfs sweet cakes 👍👍👍

what a great idea! i wish our weather was nicer here so we could make one. the only thing that would survive here right now is cactus and i dont think that would be very fun for the kids...or the fairies.

What is your take on planting grass in the garden where the dirt might otherwise be; and putting the plants wherever they'd go anyway. I wanted to make a fairy garden that is also a playspace, but something that wouldn't allow them to make a mess and get dirt all over the porch and on themselves. What is your opinion about putting grass in the pots.

Lulaila7 No, we are too high up! Some of our neighbours yards flood, but we are five feet up with a breakwall! We use a ladder to get down to our dock and boat.
this looks so fun! how do you keep it clean? maybe it's the climate where I love but anything outside eventually turns black with mold or the bees make nests

I love fairy/gnome gardens. I have a gnome garden on my porch and my 4 year old niece looovvvveeeesss it! Is it bad that my husband bought the gnome set-up for my birthday because I wanted it so bad? Oh well! I guess we all have a inner child in us somewhere. LOL! I wish I could send you a picture of it. Its pretty rad :)
