Jay-Z's MTV Unplugged was an album that saved my life. I was in college and suicidal at the time, having finally come to terms with traumas I survived as a child. Jaguar's voice on that album was one of the reasons why I listened to that CD on repeat, over, and over- Song Cry, in particular. Salute, Queen!

I relate so much to her with what she's been through with her son. I'm just normal person but I've been fighting for 16 years with my ex over my son and he acts the same way her ex acts, but she's right at the end of the day these boys know who truly loves them and wants what best for them.
Im so sorry you're dealing with this. Children should NEVER be used as pawns. EVER. I even remember my divorced parents doing it with me! It messes you up 😕 Now in regards to what your ex is doing with your son, it's awful. I've never been in this situation as the role of Parent... but I have watched it play out in front of me being a big sister. My half-brother Aidan, who was my first sibling out of TEN siblings, and I were always super close. Even though we were still years apart, he was the closest aged sibling. Well, he had a different mom, and she was a little off her rocker to put it nicely. She lived in Oregon and we lived in Seattle WA, so not too far. He would spend weekends and half the summer with us. Everything was fine until he was about 9. And the same year my dad remarried, was the same year his mom stopped letting him visit us. At first we thought she would give in eventually and it wasn't worth traumatizing a kid w/ cops over so we should just let her get over it. Well, she never got over it. 10 years went by before I ever saw my brother again. With only 2 very brief phone calls in that entire 10 year time span. And with the way WA and OR courts are, they ALMOST ALWAYS side with the mom. My dad fought in family court until his last dollar. 10 years of his life we missed. When all you remember your brother as is a scrawny nerdy nine year old, seeing him for the first time as a nearly 20 year old man shocks you to your core. We didn't get to watch him become a man and that really sucks. Come to find out, his mom had been feeding him so many terrible lies like "they told me that they don't want you in their family " and "your dad told me your not allowed at his house anymore". She taught him to resent us. Luckily one day he reached out to me, asking for an explanation. It wasn't until then that he realized how much we had missed him and fought for him. And how his mom had lied all of those years. He reached out in 2022. Our dad died in 2021. His mom spent all those years trying to make him hate us....now which parent do you think he hates? And that's a hate he's going to carry with him his WHOLE life. No amount of apologizing or remorse can fix 10 lost years with your father that you will now never be able to make up. I don't think anything can.
Moral of the story, what goes around comes around and karma is one vicious SOB. Your ex will get what's coming. The truth ALWAYS comes to light, and one day your son will realize who robbed all those years with his mom from him. I pray you reunite with your Son soon 🙏🫶 (sorry for writing an entire novel 😭)
