To people who still hate and say Mercedes Benz Stadium is just a NFL stadium. You are wrong and this just proves it even more. Unlike Seattle who have a great fanbase that does fill a good bit of the Seattle Seahawks stadium. It was not made specifically with soccer in mind. They pretty much just moved in when they came to MLS in 2008. For us the Benz was made with both the soccer team and Falcons in mind. One example is as our President Darren Eales said, we have a whole section of the stadium specifically for the soccer teams locker room and other facilities to prepare for the match. They not sharing the same locker room with the Falcons at all like a lot of haters scream and cry. We probably have the best multi use stadium in North America. I know the Panthers owner is going to configure the Panthers stadium to be used for both soccer and NFL football. But it will never be like this and their fanbase if they even have one will never be on our level. Keep hating we already the face of MLS.
Yep, it took a franchise at the heart of Dixie to bring the MLS to the table with NHL, MLB, NFL, and NBA.
Also out of all cities were just 60 years ago, Jim Crow laws were pretty dominant throughout the south especially in the State of Georgia and in Atlanta.
Now it's time for the NHL to test Savannah, Georgia, for their first major professional sports team from the big four sports leagues in the United States. NHL can have success with Savannah being a port city and having Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield.
I'm an Atlanta United fan who is born and raised south of Savannah, Georgia. We have supported all Georgia sports teams up north.

I remember watching this game and the celebration with happy tears in my eyes. I thought that I will never see one of my teams win a major championship after what happened to the Dawgs in the 2017 CFP National Title Game, Dawgs choking a bigger lead to Bama in 2018 SEC Football Championship Game (the week prior to this game), and what happened to the Falcons' in Super Bowl LI.
Also, with the Hawks having their franchise-record of 60 wins as the number one seed only to get swept in the 2015 NBA Eastern Conference Finals to the Cavs.
Also, the Braves not making it past the first round in 17 years (at the time).
I honestly thought that this Georgia Sports Curse died on that night. As usual, I was wrong and more heart breakers came afterwards.
I'm from LA so my favorite teams are lafc and la galaxy (cant chose between them) and my favorite team outside of LA is Atlanta United amazing organization
