  • A demonstration of my standalone programmer for the APC220 radios.
EDIT: Apologies to the few people who have asked about this in the comments below: I didn't see your comments at the time you left them. I have released full source code, schematics and a PCB layout for an updated version of this on GitHub at github.com/emcgon/APC220-Tool....

hi just seen your video it's one of the most informative on the apc220 can you please do a more detailed description of the programming of the module as every one seems to skip this part . and then maybe a bit of code as that's very sparce too mostly it's just a demo of there project

Hi Paul, I'm glad you found it interesting. I have completely reverse-engineered the protocol that the "real" RF Magic uses to talk to the APC220s (which is nothing like the programming procedure described in the documentation) and have reimplemented it in Python (as well as making the box shown in this video). If you're interested, I can make my notes from the reverse-engineering exercise (which are fairly detailed) and/or the Python version of RF Magic available to you (or anyone else who finds this video and is interested).

Yes Please! I've seen a few sketches of folks programming their APC220 but I have yet to see anyone set NetID and NodeID.
