He said Q-dance directly called him for an idea for the closing theme and asked if he was interested in making a track for it so I'm assuming then he decided to call vertile and tell him about it..and willem said before hand he already had a studio session planned with sian evens coming up so I guess things just came together from there

Headhunterz & Vertile - Lost Without You (feat. Sian Evans) was my personal highlight of Defqon.1 2023. Just by listening to the “bell” sounds on the beginning of the track, it hit me instantly right in the feels and I knew it was going to be a masterpiece. A magnificent track presented during a legendary moment.

Vertile became Boring for me after his last set at Qapital. Its always the same, nice melody, and a kick part after that... He needs to go back to the original hardstyle, kick plus melody. Every song is the same, live it starts to become boring .

This was my first DEFQON.1, and I cried like a baby at this, first time I've cried in years. Danced my heart out for 3 hours straight. Cannot wait for next year! 🧡🥹🧡

@Emp1ricalFinesse This was also my first festival. It was worth all the stress, money, worries, blood, sweat, and tears. Trust me, you will love every second of it. Just imagine, next year is the 20th anniversary. Its going to be the biggest and best edition to date. You don't want to miss it!

It doesn't really show here on video, but the moment when only the discoball was lit was from another world. I couldn't beleive such a "simple" effect would be so powerful, a pitty you can't see it on video :/ But as always, amazing show, was in tears when it ended. This was my first time as a Weekend Warrior because last time I could only go on Friday and Sunday and I loved every single day.
The feeling of community is like anywhere else. We are all friends even if we never met each other, all connected by the love of Hardstyle. Our group had 4 pink hats and our friend lost her hat, a complete stranger followed us to return it, that made our day, such a simple gesture that symbolize what being in a tribe means. We all help each others.
Thanks to all the people working behind the scenes, you are the real Warriors!

Heady said Q-dance called him directly to ask him about an idea they had for the closing ritual theme and asked him if he wanted to help out and possibly make a track for it..then I'm assuming he called vertile also he said before hand he already had a studio session planned with Sian Evens so things just fell into place for this track from there I guess
My dad doesn’t like the harder styles but is a big fan of ennio and seeing this start he would have loved to be there and witnessed it with me😂 gave him goosebumps

I worked 3 days on defqon1 and Sunday I went as a visitor. Standing there with my friends and my boyfriend, it was so magical. We really enjoyed it so much 🥹🤍

Lost Without You remains to be one of the absolute best songs I have ever heard in my entire 10 years of following our festivals journey. Every time I hear those first few notes while listening in my car I can barely hold back a tear. It's absolutely beautiful and a work of art... Thank you Defqon for being with me for the past decade. While I haven't been able to attend a festival myself. I've ALWAYS watched from home with my mates every year, hoping one day I'll have the funds to attend one day. Also... I'll be waiting eagerly for this years POWER OUR to be released. I LOVE the left right legacy you have created. Can't believe I'm lucky enough to be alive while Defqon is taking over the world!
