Ohoo my sister, thank you for telling them yay! Liberia like any African country has her own culture. We don’t have to use the Nigerian or Ghanaian culture. We have beautiful cultures from all of our regions.
very beautiful it is time for us to know our roots it is important for us and our future generations thanks you for this beautiful information may God bless you
The Kru is Gold/ purple, country clothe, lots of Gold. Damasin clothe... Our headtie is like the one sided crown. The square h at ,boatship hats, the bonswae, ( like the Nefutiti croen ( as a head tie). The ankle bracelet , we also incorporate navy blue .red and red. A three month ( jo) mud mask teatree root).or acacia, rosewood( body treatment) or white clay..seasalt for the bride, manicure/ pedicure. Cleansing bath. And white clay for facial( sea scrub). And oil for moisturizer. eye makeup.( Telo). Shimmering eyeshadow, and liner. And lots ts of bracelets on both hands. and large Gold mugget/ necklace). And a rice or decorated woven ( peea)..hand basket,( purse).flowers girls use the calabash to throw rice on the ground. A carpet is laid out to introduce the BRIDE as she walks out.
Marrying traditionally gives the husband the right to take on other wives. Our culture allows for many wives yet we kick against the husband having another wife(wives). The Western which we have adopted, is meant for a wife and a husband. Think seriously about this so as to avoid conflict tomorrow, when the husband decides to make the side chick a formal wife.
