Once again we seem to have a situation of frontal sclerosis. Still lots of casualties from drones, artillery and glide bombs. Is there any light at the end of this tunnel?
This is the nature of a war of attrition. Long range artillery and drone duel, small unit operations to improve local positions, geared to drain the enemy’s resources.. worst kind of war, but neither Russia nor ukraine has the capability to launch a major maneuver. We’ll see no great sweeps of armored armies here. The goal is not to take real estate but to maximize one’s situation for when the inevitable negotiations begin.
@@Robert-gw1di Inevitable negotiations? NATO seem to be doing pretty well at avoiding them, although they are losing on the ground. Furthermore, Russia could floor it if Putin went impatient (NATO are actively trying to get him there), but would probably be exposed to invasions by Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and maybe Georgia, South Korea and Japan. Just as any other country, Russia has the right to defend itself from the aggression of war companies, be they germanic or not.

Other than Avdeeyevka, Russia failed to gain any significant advantages of the entire front line. it's also very difficult because of NATO's direct involvement. After all Russia is resisting well NATO aggression for a long time.
True but Russia is draining Ukraine's manpower... They are losing soldiers at an unsustainable rate... slowly grinding them down.. The territories arent the focus, its the termination of the personnel. Remember what Putin said at the very start of this.. DEMILITARIZATION.

This is how it looks like, until the critical breakthrough happens. The Russians have chosen to rely on consolidated gains, not rushed land grabs, so they are using attrition tactics for this SMO. The less they have to attrit, the faster they advance. But here is the point: they are consistently advancing. Slightly, but consistently. Ukraine is much less consistent and its gains are not big enough to balance that out. In the meantime, Russia is ramping up its reserve numbers while Ukraine's are probably nearing zero (else why move the same brigades over and over from one gap to another?).
Russia lost ground in few day, city Liman and Kupiansk. They were in downtown od Harkiv.
They will retake that in 10 years in this way of fighting. Super force a Russia should not alow that 🤷🏻♂️
