As a recent player, one of my biggest mistakes was indeed not playing to my hero's ability. Eg. Forgetting that I can mostly get Phoenix Flame back for free from the graveyard or (with Dromai) (his helpened me beat Iyslander in the last draft) . And the many ways you can put ashes on the table by blocking/preventing damage and meanwhile pitching the red cards.. Learned so much in these last weeks.
My biggest mistake was accidentally winning a pro tour with my eyes closed

One huge mistake ppl make is attacking turn 1 representing minimal (probably less than 8) damage and not setting up permanents, or not blocking when its free to do if u are blocking on the first turn, in fear of drawing into a bad hand...probably could make a whole followup video with the list of things to do and not to do turn 1 as X hero and also when facing Y hero

putting a Lightning Press in my Arsenal as Lexi during Sealed (first couple of times with friends)
then realizing on my next turn that i've now forever cucked my arrows XD unless i buff my opponents hit with the lightning press XD
Haha, i did the same thing during ToA prerelease, i ended up buffing my opponents attack to get it out lol.

Blocking is the biggest mistake in Flesh and Blood, just draw strong cards and win the game 5heads it's that easy
