  • This walk starts in the pretty village of East Linton, East Lothian and takes us along the river path for a couple of miles to Hailes Castle. It was a beautiful May morning when I filmed this. The sun was shining, the birds were singing and the butterflies had emerged in their dozens. I really hope you enjoy this walk as much as I did. I didn’t want it to end!
Hailes Castle itself dates back to the 15h century and is now a ruin. It is normally open to the public, but due to a recent deterioration in the stonework, it has become unsafe so sadly I wasn’t able to explore it.

    About Breathe Nature
Hi, my name is Pauline and I've created this channel to show you the beautiful walks, landscapes, towns and villages of East Lothian, Scotland. Come with me on my walks as I explore this fantastic area. There will be woods, castles, beaches and plenty of nature for you to see.
I want you to enjoy the walks as if you are taking them yourself, so there will be no talking or music. I think that makes a more calming and peaceful experience.
I know that many people cannot get out and walk for themselves for various reasons or are simply too busy to devote a lot of time to the outdoors. So, I've made videos of various lengths from under a minute for a quick fix of nature, to longer walks where you can immerse yourself fully. They are also brilliant to enjoy while on the treadmill!

A bunny! UK'ers sure are ample with nature statues from deers locking antlers to modest mushrooms, gets me right in the💘. The reality also, I adore ivy/wisteria climbing home walls & overgrowth everywhere, but where I live the whole country is plagued with clear/clean codes & bush-hogs, lawnmowers, weedeaters, clippers, rowdy bunch. So, I visits me "friends" across the Pond to revel in the messes, gratitude to ya! On the beginning path I had me arms straight out liken airplane wings to feel the greens & "breathe nature". Spicy perfume it'were. 😁 Wow, yes, omg it did became closed in, the path, very surprised we weren't clouded in bees too. Bet our clothes were covered in yellow dust & tiny flower petals glittering our hair at the finish no? Yikes, very daring in spots, a misstep could've landed us the drink. Awesome hike Pauline, really grand choice. A very very lovely spot. I'm ready for our next adventure. ❤from🤠

@@kathywilson7800 thank you for watching, I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I do love gorse too…that coconut smell when the sun shines on it just reminds me of summer at the beach.
