I think the Reason Stanley still has Mario's voice in the 2nd half is because since he's an AI, he can't speak on his own and only in text, so he just uses the voice of the vessel he inhabits.
This is supported by the that wen Stanley speaks it only shows text 2:19
Also, Stanley’s voice is distorted, so he’s probably using the vessel but his true self could also be trying to communicate.

You find yourself face to face with a seemingly friendly Mario, the host of a new show; Nintendo Mania! Here, he presents Nintendo's "hottest new video game releases", and is presenting Super Mario 64 in this first installment. His brother Luigi stands in for him in the game while he conducts his presentation, but as things begin to go wrong for Luigi, this seemingly friendly Mario shows his not so friendly side.

I really love the beginning Mario sprite because there's something just slightly off. There isn’t anything particularly wrong about this Mario, he has everything normal Mario has, but he just doesn't seem right. I'm not sure how they did it, but it perfectly fits this.

Same reason mascots can be creepy, he never blinks and never stops smiling until the second part
His proportions are all wrong, is what it is. Fingers are a bit too long, mustache is too big, face is structured a little differently than the Mario we're used to. The smile looks artificial. The way he holds the microphone is weird, it looks too small for him.
He also only has three fingers (and a thumb) on each hand, whereas normally Mario is always drawn with a full fingered hand.

If I had a nickel for every character in an analog horror whos name is Stanley, is the star of a TV show intended for younger audiences, and says something along the lines of "You may be wondering, what is this person doing in my television set?", I'd have 2 nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice

While this is a fine version, I do like the instrumental of the old version better. It sounded more devastating and bombastic, whereas this sounds a lot less impactful but more steady. It’s not bad by any means it’s still sounds good, it’s just I like the old instrumental better.
(Also it probably wouldn’t have been changed if it wasn’t leaked so there’s that too)

Ever since this song has been leaked and was forced to be released to the public, I've been wondering why this Mario/Stanley sounds like that. It doesnt really sound like its from the other Mario voices we heard or from the 'promo show' episode
Honestly promotion might be my favorite song in the mod, marios sprites and chromatics in the first part are great and feel kind of off (in a good way), and the drop man. Im not saying its the best but it is my favorite
i feel like this a big part to say that i like to think that some marios (grand dad, mx, the apparition, and stanley specifically) arent under mario exes control there just kinda there because they have nowhere else to go
