It may only be a facelift, but Porsche is hoping the new Panamera Sport Turismo can offer enough for you to choose it over rivals such as the Audi RS6 & AMG E63 S!
So you’re probably wondering what’s changed? Well first up, there’s a couple of exterior design tweaks, from a single rear tail-light, through to some new alloy wheels and headlights. Once you take a step inside, there are a few minor design updates, such as a new steering wheel. But all-in-all, it’s relatively similar to the old model!
As for under the bonnet, well there’s a whole range of engines to choose from! Mat’s got his hands on the 4S, which has a 2.9-litre V6 along with an electric motor, which combines to deliver 560hp. Sounds pretty good, right? Well, it’s nothing compared to the range-topping Turbo S e-hybrid, which has a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 along with an electric motor to produce a monumental 700hp!
So what do you think? Can the new Panamera ST compete with the mighty RS6 & E63 S? You’ll have to keep watching to find out!

British Racing Green is beautiful though.
If you take green the interior has to be red or beige though to make a contrast

Used to have an A6 Avant (before Audi brought the RS6 to the US) and liked it a lot. Now have the Panamera Sport Turismo for two years and absolutely love it. Performance is amazing. Thanks to rear steering and fantastic suspension this car moves through curves great. Plug in hybrid lets me commute to work and back in electric mode (before the pandemic). It's comfortable if I want to, it is sporty when I put it in sport mode. Long distance driving is relaxed thanks to very adjustable seats. Space is good for 4 people. Until battery range increases and more quick charging infrastructure is deployed, this seems the best of both worlds. Plus, mine is completely black with only the neon-green e-hybrid accents and it gets a lot of looks and thumbs up on the road... more so than my 911😳

I personally prefer panamera design both interior and exterior. From the outside it looks classic, noble and solid yet modern, on the inside it combines high-tech modules with traditional switches, which looks beautiful.
I think Porsche design is actually one of the best at the market now.

U have to admit there is just too must advertising in his videos. Like compare him to WhatCar (which have a similar car buying website) and they average about 13 seconds of advertising compared to roughly 75 SECONDS here. It's over the top. Still love Mat but he could improve...

If I was buying a Panamera, I would want the electric adjustment in the steering, although I know that is likely expensive because it is a Porsche. I think it is a tough choice between this and the RS6. I like the exterior more for the RS6 and the interior more in the Panamera. I think I would have to drive both to find out which I wanted, that is what it would come down to for me.

@@JoshTheFrosch07 I’m not interested in arguing but better do some research before speaking. They are way faster than most super cars, are still 10 times comfier and are half the price. Sure, I agree they all sound like a vacuum cleaner but that’s the only thing you can complain about in Porsches. Their build quality is also really good as Mat said himself.

I think I prefer the look of the RS6. It’s a tough one. One of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned was my 2001 M Coupe. I love the shooting brake and the Porsche definitely reminds me of it. The RS6 just looks a little more menacing to me.

The RS6 is gorgeous, the SportTurimso, not as much but still easy on the eyes. I'm just happy we have such beautiful wagons to choose from... even in the US. Just wish I had six-figures to toss at a new car. Or I could buy a house.

Car Journalists love the DACIA but I bet you won’t find one who actually owns one. And before anyone says James May he doesn’t. They are a novelty for Car Journalists because they are so far removed from the typical 500bhp cars they are sent to gush over all the time.
That’s why I don’t tend to listen to Car Journalist (in the main) when it comes to choosing what car to buy as they’ll have the car for a few laps, or a few hours or a day and their opinion is based off that. It’s why with WhatCar they’ll always recommend the high MPG, one above entry/base spec car as “all the car you’ll really need” not the one you want.

The issue isn't with the S21U itself. But more rather public acceptance. Android users are seen as poor compared to IOS users. This is why BMW didn't have Android Auto till now, Porsche still doesn't have it. People who buy these cars are less likely to have Androids. Also developers prioritise Ios over Android. There is nothing wrong with Android phones, but it's people's attitude towards them.
All of this impacts Android companies and push them down.
@@akj2387 porsche has publicly stated that they dont have android auto, because Google collects too much information and they see that as a concern, but yeah unless you've got a folding phone or something you're often looked down at by iphone users.

I need an estate car for boot space and dogs, however the dogs have always traveled on the rear seats. This is because somebody very kindly rear ended my car at speed in '92. The o/s rear got pushed into the back of the rear seat. Fortunately I had only one German Shepherd with me who was lucky to be alive as he was pinned in a small gap behind the left rear seat. Dropped the rear seat and out he came. The other driver managed to drive off in his wreck and only the unregistered car was found by our "marvellous🤔" constabulary.
Anyway, thanks for the dogging video, I recon the 🐶kids🐶 would be truly happy in there especially with the optional peasant blocker blinds.

Definitely my favourite “retirement” car. When I retire I will ditch company cars and have one of these for the week and a 911cabrio for weekends. Luckily I have another 25years until I retire, hopefully enough time to save the necessary huge pile of money! 😜
