They've had over 35 months in the industry... I know, its quite a while. But if you're going to compare them to McFly, then experience is the only thing in it. I'm a massive fan of both but I personally can tell from McFly's writing abilities and musical style that they have really developed over time, and I hope that One Direction will continue to do so too!

To be fair, he can play guitar, but he doesn't very often. Where as McFly play instruments all the time. One Direction aren't just as good as McFly, they're in two completely different genres of music, they cannot be compared. One group are completely self-sufficient, whereas the other rely on their record to get their songs written and composed.
