    Toontrack really needs to do another songwriting stream like the Devin Townsend one a few years back.

    Is it me or does that guitar sound slightly out of tune (flat) at some points when played against the midi bass parts?

    As an owner of a Dingwall, the samples sound too compressed.
    Ryan, you should demo a NG5

    So, this isn't a tool add add bass lines to your track? Is it just a Bass Amp tool that gives you tones to add to a DI track?

    • @DJakeSt
      @DJakeSt Před 3 lety

      Ezbass is a MIDI editor. If you’re confused, Look into ezbass reviews. not reviews of ezbass packs. It’s a great tool with lots of capabilities. Just like ez/superior drummer

    • @vaughanmacegan4012

      @@DJakeSt Yeah, looked into more looks good especially seeing as I don't play bass. However there is no trial of the product, so, I'm hesitant to part with the money as I downloaded the trial for EZdrummer2 and it never showed up in Protools :(

    • @DJakeSt
      @DJakeSt Před 3 lety

      @@vaughanmacegan4012 understandable. It's still fairly new. So maybe wait for it to go on sale or for them to come out with more expansion packs to justify the purchase. I'd still rather just plug a real bass into my interface & record that way. But I can understand the appeal behind the "EZ" aspect

      @w0rmholes Před 3 lety

      @@Kaloan91 is that even with the audio tracker? It said on the website the lowest it goes is A0 so how do you get it to the lower tuning, pitch shifter?
      i got djinnbass in the meantime but i really have no idea how to program midi bass lines so the audio tracker on EZbass seems ideal!

    • @Kaloan91
      @Kaloan91 Před 3 lety +1

      you need the Metal expansion to go below A0. The Tracker will make 80% of the bassline (it's not perfect unless the bassline is rather simple) and then you click on a yellow botton called something like "insert MIDI song" (bottom right corner of the tracker tab) so that you can then make the lasts tweaks on the Grid tab which is very easy to use (adding notes, hammer-on, etc)

    • @w0rmholes
      @w0rmholes Před 3 lety

      @@Kaloan91 aww man that’s so frustrating, i got djinnbass cause. thought A0 was the lowest. I’ll probably look into getting it now if that’s the case.
      I doubt my bass lines will be anything to complex, i haven’t been going too technical on my songs.
      Out of interest do you know the lowest tuning? The lowest i go to is drop F

    I still like playing and recording my bass tracks, but I got EZ Bass thinking it would be easier to create a much better-sounding DI track than my crappy Squier bass, but the EZ Bass live tracking feature is atrocious. It fumbles even very basic bass lines for me, and then I have to spend way too much time fixing in MIDI, even after constantly tweaking the threshold settings.
    I'm not distorting my DI going into EZ bass in any way. I have a Focusrite i2i that records my guitars just fine. Anybody else encounter this?

    • @16mmdreamsequence88
      @16mmdreamsequence88 Před 3 lety

      I thought I was the only one experiencing that! I've tried playing simple "basslines" on my guitar and having EZBass track it and it still messes it up. Trey from Gear Gods did a demo of it and he had it working perfectly. It is so frustrating.

    • @BrendanHengle
