How the Margolin Pistol works

The Margolin Pistol is a sport pistol chambered in .22 LR. It is used in competitive target shooting.
It is produced since 1948 and made its international debut at the 36th World Shooting Championships held in 1954 at Caracas, Venezuela.
The pistol was designed by Mikhail Vladimirovich Margolin (1906-1975), who designed the pistol although he was blind.

It's insane that this was designed by a blind man. Saw a kid that was born blind draw pictures before and although most were good, there were a few hints that (at times) he did not truly know what things looked like as a person with vision does. His drawings were approximations (and damn good one's at that), but they weren't perfect. I think that shows even more the skill he had to have to be able to imagine visual things without having vision himself though. I think it's even more difficult than we can imagine and I'm not sure if all blind people could accomplish that. (I'd love to see that though... but better yet, I hope we cure blindness and have the technology to do so today).

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. Here is a further detail: The designer, Margolin, was not born blind. He became blind when he was 18 years old. I believe that helped him to be able to design something as complex as a pistol. Thanks and regards, 3DGunner
