    Testament needs to release an official song book for every album. Every time they show how to play one of their songs I realize everyone, including me, plays it so wrong!

      ...and the tab on Songsterr seems not accurate at all, compared to this.
      Of course I trust this video much more! 😆
      I play the song on bass, but still I find this one taught by Peterson himself much more useful.
      Greetings!

    Testament was my first metal band. Been into them since I got my first cassette tapes in 1990. I never realized until recently though how blazingly fast Eric Peterson played on The Legacy and The New Order because of how quietly he is mixed into the music. I think Testament should remaster those old albums with Peterson in the forefront instead of the background. The music would be vastly better!

    I got The New Order album when it first came out, and it's still one of my all time favorites. He's definitely not playing what's on the album version. It's close, but there are some differences. I haven't looked at songster yet, it gets a lot of stuff 95% right maybe \m/

    Love Alex Skolnick and James Murphy, but Eric Peterson is one of the greatest rhythm players in the history of rock and metal. Right up there with other "rhythm legends" like Brad Whitford, James Hetfield, Ronnie Wood, and Paul Stanley.

    • @knightfall9394
      @knightfall9394 Před 2 lety

      Brad is much more than a rhythm guy between him and perry he’s the better of the two. Do people rate paul as a guitarist? I always thought he was a douche who was too busy prancing around on stage and the other guitarist had to cover for him

      @@knightfall9394 Peterson is co lead guitarist in Testament now and has been for quite a long time. In the last 4 albums he must play like a third of the solos

      I dont hear any weird atonal chromatic stuff that kerry and jeff are known for. Are you talking about the harmonic minor single not phrase, that little melody he does?
