    I thought that Lauri for Wiggins trade was crazy because I thought the Jazz were only getting one first rounder for Lauri. Then I realised that you had the Jazz GIVING UP a first rounder and trading Lauri for Wiggins. Absolute insanity!

    • @alexchan1022
      @alexchan1022 Před měsícem +3

      To even sniff Lauri, W's would have to give up 2 1sts and 1 or 2 pick swaps. Even then, the Jazz likely wouldn't be interested. To think we'd get Lauri and a 1st in exchange for Wiggins is hilarious. This is the first and last time I'm watching content on this channel.

    • @____Riley____
      @____Riley____ Před měsícem +1

      @@alexchan1022 Yeah exactly. The offer of 2 firsts and 2 swap would be the offer that got them in the door to talk the Jazz about Lauri. But likely the Jazz would want at least 3 or 4 1sts plus swaps and young players. Now I doubt that the Warriors would do that, but for someone to even suggest that the Warriors could get Lauri and a first for Wiggins is absolutely laughable.
      A Wiggins for Collins swap of some kind is much more realistic when talking about Wiggins to the Jazz.

      If Lori had 2-3-4 years left on his contract, 100% I agree with your assessment. However he has 1 year left on the contract. If he says I don’t want to resign, Danny has no trade leverage and needs to get something back in return which is why this trade works.

    • @peteybrian
      @peteybrian Před měsícem

      @@WarriorsDigest True, Markanen can force a trade - but have we seen any sign of this or has Danny shopped him around the league?
      It’s going to take 1 first rounder simply to unload $85 million of underperforming 3 years of Wiggins - for nba contract filler. I’d guess at least another 2-3 firsts more to get Markanen - a top nba asset on an affordable, short-term expiring contract. Like Siakim or OG Anunoby, it’s going to be a tough trade and Lauri has a say where he re-signs.

    I think in terms if getting real POTENTIAL big impact for another run - the Lavine trade is the one to go for. His value is at rock bottom, I think you don't have to include Moody (I wouldn't do so either). Wigs, Looney and two 2nd Rnd picks could be close to enough already. That's worth a shot.
    Though we absolutely need to make a move for a Center as well, which makes it trickier. Can we make a move for J. Allen for example, with Looney and Wigs already gone due to the Zach trade? Potentially, though much less likely.
    GSW are in a hell of a tricky situation. The only good trades are the 1s bringing the team into contention for a chip. Anything else is a waste of time. Though there aren't THAT many moves available both on the market and in terms of what GSW can offer up without destroying the few good pieces they have (trading the young guns away). I guess worst case, Moody has to be involved to get both the Center and Zach trade through - but anyone else should be off the table.
    This whole things changes if Klay does wanna leave though; than new routes need to be looked at - or making sure he gets involved in a sign-and-trade to ensure we get value back for him. 3way-deal perhaps possible involving Bulls with Zach's contract? Just some ideas.
    Sidenote: there are some trades suggested in the vid that just don't make sense in a realm of reality. I'd love em as a GSW fan, getting cheap bargains on players we want - but those other teams would never trade them away for what's suggested here

    What is the reason klay would sign then get be traded when he can sign on other team

    • @WarriorsDigest
      @WarriorsDigest  Před měsícem +1

      2 top reasons:
      1. if he wants to sign with the Lakers but they have no cap space, then they can't sign him. so a sign and trade is a win-win for both teams. he goes where he wants and the Warriors get something back
      2. when a player wants to do right by the team (or vice versa), they will do a sign and trade so both parties come out on top. both feel like leaving in good standing too. (KD to Nets was close to this)

    Wiggins as frustrating as his inconsistent play can be is actually a better fit than JK though JK obviously has a higher ceiling. I love JK and wish the team would really pivot to the future already but right now it's either him or Dray on the floor. Neither is guarded on the perimeter at all really and fuck up spacing. I think we have a big enough sample size that the days of Donkey effectively playing the 5 in ultra small ball is over.
    There are too many holes in the team for any trades to really bring this team back to being a serious playoff threat. They lack everything. They have no real second option alongside Steph. They have little rim protection to speak of except to a degree with TJD who's only a rookie and a small one at that for playing the 5. Their defence was pretty bad most of the season because they are old, tiny and slow and they play like it. The defensive coaching was just atrocious.
    Outside of an ageing Steph and very inconsistent play from both Wiggins and JK no one else can really pressure the rim so they end up just jacking up 3s. They are horrible in transition in both directions.
    Things would be much better if the team and the fans admitted that all good things come to an end and that it's time to rebuild. Being a perennial Play-In at best team while also not drafting well gets you know where except and extended fairwell tour to Kerr and his boys and going home in April every year.

    Warriors got to know when to move how to move the way to move make the smart move because if they don't do anything like they done before they are going to be left behind and they going to continue to fall and plummet more and more and that is going to hurt the franchise that is going to hurt Steph Curry that is going to hurt so many other players and they are not going to be nowhere to be found because the GM is not doing the job the owner is not making a smart decisions than the coach is not doing what he should be doing and so they need to make sure they have done what they was doing during the dynasty years and if they don't do that it is going to be on the Warriors so Joe show that you are the owner and you can make those smart and wise decisions are believing you

    It won’t happen because the player that needs to leave is not Andrew, it’s Klay and Draymond.

      -Bulls get: Andrew Wiggins, 2030 2nd round pick (GS)
      -Warriors get: Mikal Bridges, Nikola Vucevic
      For starters, this deal would shed 12.9M off of the Warriors’ books. However, it would be contingent on a few things…
      1. Set up prior to CP3’s contract becoming guaranteed on June 28.
      2. Brooklyn deciding to go ALL IN on a loaded 2025 free agency market.
      3. The likelihood of the Bulls breaking everything up to start a rebuild.
      With CP3 on the Nets’ 2024-25 roster, it’d open up a total of $91.4M in cap space next summer. That’s plenty to extend Cam Thomas & Day’Ron Sharpe while chasing a max free agent.
      As of today, the 2025 free agency market would include LeBron James, Jimmy Butker, Paul George, Fred VanVleet, Rudy Hobert, Kyrie Irving, Jayson Tatum, Donovan Mitchell, Jamal Murray, Brandon Ingram, Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle, Myles Turner, Aaron Gordon, etc.
