Hey I later learned these jump packs 660-770 have all cheap defective parts battery and the black box charger. I rebuilt all our shops chargers with better batteries and updated chargers. When you get these new they last about several chargers then die. Nice tutorial
Did you say you used this to charge your 4 wheeler battery overnight? It's not a charger at all. It's basically just used to jump start your vehicle.
Same issue. Stuck around 10. Volts
I don't think those lil plates are metal that the positive clamp clamps on to .as soon as you switch the knob to the on position it wouldn'f spark like crazy right? I wonder what type of material is those lil plates.?
Most of my problems with this pack have been fixed by hooking the cables to a charger
er1 code. this thing was acting crazy, intermittent light and alarm also the read out was going nuts so I took it apart and it was slap full of bull ants. I cleaned it up good and it works fine. I wish I would have taken it apart before I ordered a new module and power supply first. I hope this may help someone else. Jim
I have brought some batteries back to life by putting the lm on a old school charger that doesn't turn off automatically on the highest setting and basically boiled the acid for a just a minute or two then put it on a trickle charger and it worked for another few years. It's kinda the same as deslufating the plates
I do similar thing with my charger, I give dead battery 200Amp boat for under 1 min and start charging, it might fail 2 to 3 times but then it works and I reviewed alloy of Batterys
The internal battery is too weak that’s why the volts were dropping when power cord was disconnected. At some point, the battery will need to be replaced.
For anyone looking to skip to the $1 fix, here it is: there is no $1 fix in this video. He just left it plugged in and it started working again after a while.
He also suggested using a professional car battery charger.
