Jimmy seems like a really sweet dude, so cool when he said Matthew's keeping vintage guitars alive and he certainly is.
He has that same vibe that Norm does.
He was so kind. It was a pleasure to finally meet him.
We need that part 2!!! Thanks again Matt for allowing me the opportunity to hold the camera and play some of the guitars at jimmys booth for the channel!!!
thought it was pretty cool seeing you on the channel brother, big fans of both of you guys
Thanks Lucas, you did great.
The sheer quantity of amazing vintage instruments under one roof... Bet you enjoyed that day thoroughly. Fantastic video. One of your best.
It was such a fun experience!✌🏻
That ‘54 strat, Esquire, and p bass is a dream line up. A mortgage sitting on that table.
‘Take a look at that gunk”….. “That’s what you want”. I attended this festival about 8 years ago. It’s truly an amazing experience. I love the fact that the guitar heroes playing on stage are walking around the event just like everyone else. I met Andy Timmons, Greg Koch and Johnny A. Highly recommend going. A true walk in the clouds.
When he posts it’s a good day
It’s a good day when he posts
Wow. Jimmy is such a nice guy. Humble and so straight from the heart. Love this man. Great guitars. Goosebumps
Couldn't have said it any better!
I had a great conversation with Jimmy Wallace by phone about a month ago- truly a pleasure and ended up purchasing the guitar we spoke about. It’s wonderful to speak with a true historian . More than just selling- it’s all about the story ! Thank you for taking the time and the Custom is getting well used !
I for one would love to see a part two...and a part three.
I may have to get it prepared!
Thank you Matthew!
I was honored to have you at the festival!
Looking forward to next year! 🤘
Nerissa is there a contact person for Kentucky Vintage? I do not see an online presence, is it a store?
Hey Matt- Wow what a coool show bro!🙂👍So many classics all around . I want to go there some time😎🤘☮️🖤🕊🦋🕊✌️
When I was a kid there were lots of old Gibsons and Fenders in every pawnshop, the good ol’ days…
Nowadays, vintage means 30 year old Ibanez bolt-ons!
Boy, I’d love to stroll around this gathering for a few hours, too much fun!
Thank you for taking us along,Matt!! This is just fantastic!!
Thanks for joining!
Back in the 80s "When we we're learning guitars "... my buddy let me play his Les Paul!! Besides the weight. It was a real beauty. I had a 335 in cherry, which i ran thru a 100 watt Guild Amp..Ahhhhh...then i picked up a Tele later on, and oh yeah , a couple of Martins as well ..
Whatever you do, don't stop playing music!
That ‘44 J-45 sounded amazing even through my phone speakers. Wow !
Awesome video. Thanks
Great stuff. Thanks Mathew. Would love to see more!
Matthew, I can’t express how much I enjoyed watching you going through the Dallas show. I’ve wanted to attend for years, and seeing you walk through and play some great vintage guitars make it seem even more enticing. I appreciate your solid playing, and think that you’re one of the nicest young players around. Keep doing a great job bringing us quality content.
I'm grateful I could bring it to you!
Man not only your love for vintage guitar shows but your playing also has the old spirit, guitar playing these days have become too refined and pretty, you have got that old thing going on that started it all .. super cool
Man i love your new song! Cant wait to hear the rest of it!!
Thanks so much Matthew! Looking forward to part 2!
Amazing upload! One of your best yet. Thanks for sharing, dude.
Mathew is a killer guitar player, and the perfect guy to demo vintage instuments as he seems to know how to get the best from them

Excellent - Part 2 please!
Wow, that's huge! Our Toronto show is half of a hockey rink and spread thin.
Some nice finds there, but Paul Kossoff's LP is just the star here. It must have been cool to see that one in person. Thanks for sharing.
Awesome video Matthew!! Thanks for putting this up!
Great, great episode. Thanks for posting your visit.
This warms my heart!

Every time I watch Matt, he inspires me to practice. Great vid!!
Bestest most Authentically cool content! Matt's licks are so clean and pocketworthy.
Matthew, your channel is one of the best out there. As Jimmy said, keep doing what you do!
Was looking forward to watch your live performance, I saw a clip of it last month but it got taken down, bummer. Would be great to see what you did with your band!!
Hey Matt! I was with you at the Mule booth. Funnily enough, I remember his name being ‘Matt’ as well. And yes he was very kind and welcoming. In general, everyone at the DIGF were super cool, friendly, and humble… including you. Nice meeting you and great video. Part 2 please.
Great Festival!! Been there many times.
Mathew, you always pull a great tone out of whatever guitar you pick up. You’re heart comes through.
Bro. Jimmy Wallace, what can I say, a dear friend.
Proud to have you both as friends, keep it going gentlemen. Hope to see y’all in Dallas next year!
Greg

Awesome video again, thanks for sharing Matthew 🎸🤠👍, I'm unlikely ever to be lucky enough to go somewhere like that so thanks for taking me there. PEACE 🎸🤠👍
Thank you Matthew for a quick tour of some very killer guitars. Glad you were able to demonstrate a few of them so we could hear some sweet tones! Also, a big thank you to Mr. Jimmy Wallace! 0:59
I have been to the Dallas guitar event multiple times when I lived there - freaking amazing.
Thanks for this video Matthew . I'd be interested in seeing a part 2 . Watched another CZcamsrs video at Dallas Fest . He showed some amps .
Beautiful! Great!
What he said about you keeping Fender guitars alive, he's absolutely right. Thank you for the channel and keep it up.
Thanks for the close ups !
Some pretty amazing stuff… That Paul Kossoff LP is a piece of history ! I wish you’d played it. Koss is such a legend: I saw him live with Free in Paris in the summer of ‘71. Incredible concert, together with most of the Island label groups. Unforgettable ! Cheers bro
Thank you Matthew for being such a great ambassador for guitars and especially the vintage/heritage guitars. You bring guitars to me I would never have a chance to see and hear otherwise.
Part 2, and more. Bring it man!
God Bless!
Fraud
What a great thing for someone to say to you!
Thanks Matthew!! Loved it
Awesome, show Mathew, what a cool review of everything at the guitar show. Checking out all that sweet vintage gear! There really is magic in the old original stuff😊 thanks for keeping real guitar Rock/Blues Alive!
Yes, Part 2, please.
I started watching this with the intent of having it play on the side of my monitor as i did other work. Within seconds, i saw the spectacularly beautiful wear, aging, and checking on those guitars and i had to stop, put the play to full screen and check to make sure i was watching in full resolution. Gorgeous. This is what i would point to when people (idiots) ask why anyone would buy a relic'd guitar. They just have more character than pristine poly-coated guitars. Whether that character is historical or fabricated, it still exists visually. When i go to museums and look at paintings, i don't stand back and just take a wide view. I get very close, because the detail and relief-the layers and cracks and brush strokes-make painting beautiful. That third dimension. Depth. The difference between a Caravaggio and a postcard.
Great show and video.
Amazing guitars! I’m a Martin guy, but the Gibson acoustics sounded just beautiful. Thanks for filming!
Yes, for the part 2 please Matthew
Killer job!! Thanks Mathew
Thank you Matthew for the brilliant video's you constantly provide. Wow! I would love to have been at the guitar show
I need part 2 and can’t wait for ur new song
Fantastic video, great to see the vintage guitars, and for you to share it with us. Hopefully one day yo7 may come to the U.K. and get to see the Gardiner Houlgate auction and maybe do a video on that.
Thank you Matthew for some amazing content and look at great guitars
The phrase "kid in a sweetshop" comes to mind.. Thank you Matthew and all involved for this insight into The Dallas Guitar Festival. Impressive. 🎶🌟👍
Matthew I have to report yet another of these fraudulent reply things. So sorry for the downer, and I hope your new tune and music life in general is all good. It really was Dreamsville to see & hear all those vintage guitars! Peace. 🌟👍
Yes please to part 2
That 58 sounds amazing! Thanks Matthew!
This my favorite show. Great video well done.
I was at the Dallas Show on that Saturday. Hadn't been in a long time but really enjoyed seeing the vintage equipment.
I really enjoyed this Mathew thanks
Wow awesome!!! Love those old banner gibsons!! That stevie ray strat though!! Geez!! Rock on!!
Hey Mathew, after seeing & hearing you perform "Are We All the Same" in that studio video quite a while back ( over a year ago), I finally got to hear the release. I don't expect you to remember this, but I had posted a comment under the video of this song that you had taken down, the the studio LIVE version, and I told you I could hear backing vocals in my head that were in a lower key than the lead vocal, and YOU NAILED IT on the release!!! Those backing vocals are exactly what I was hearing in my head over a year ago, I kid you not!!! GREAT JOB!!! It gave me goosebumps. Steve, Melbourne Fl.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing, Matt
There looked to be an inconsistency in the 17th trapezoid of the 58 Les Paul. It was slightly off center. Kind of a testimony to the "newness" of the build back then! Great video Matthew! And thanks to the camera assistant! Great job all around!! *I need one of these!* hahaha!! Indeed.
Hey man! Awesome
Video!! I was the guy in the Orange Amp t-shirt that came over to say I love your videos and keep making them - right when you were shooting the closeups of the Gibson V and LP!! Keep up the great work! We all want a part 2! Such an awesome show this year!!! Oh - and that musicmaster the guy was taking back to Germany was insane!! Those of us who Know…….know!!
Just got my grey Matthew Scott t-shirt in the mail! I love it, keep on rockin Matt
That's awesome. Thank you so much for your support my friend.
I went to that show to sell a guitar about 23 years ago. It was an amazing show back then but it looks like it as not lost a step. Great that you spotlighted some of the best.
I am begging for a part 2 and even three i hope this blows up man
