Have you ever done an engine swap where an intake manifold doesn't exist for that motor in your new configuration? Join me as I show you how to make a custom intake manifold adapter plate so you can fit ANY intake manifold to ANY motor with the same cylinder count. As always I will show you how to make a bespoke piece with nothing but hand tools, a drill press and a can do attitude.

Man you are a life saver! My 1999 Toyota Corona Premio (3S-FSE) has pretty much no aftermarket support whatsoever. I really want to install a new intake manifold because the stock one makes it incredibly annoying to change spark plugs (covers them entirely).

Thanks for the kind words matt. Plate to head will be sealed with threebond liquid gasket. I just cant justify getting the oring grooves machined into the plate with how much it costs.

man, I really hope before you port those intake and exhaust ports that you got the head flow bench tested, I have been looking for 2AZ head flow cfm numbers for awhile now

Got the same engine in my camry. Any recommendations on ECUs and any good aftermarket parts supplier in Australia? All of the aftermarket parts I found are expensive.

thanks for watching lochlan! unfortunately for plug in ecu's there isnt really much choice. I would recommend Haltech or Link ecu for stand alone on a budget. or you wanted something really basic you could run a piggy back ecu to control fuel and ignition only. As for aftermarket parts in you are better off looking in the U.S for scion TC parts as they have a much larger aftermarket. hope this helps!

What if your engine is a reverse flow?
That means both intake and exhaust ports are the same side
