German team, but then again, after many games, I see why. Heavy and slow german tanks are fit for defensive actions at long range maps. It's where they shine with the 88mm gun and decent armor. Unfortunately, pretty much all battles require you to capture zones and move fast. Not to mention you face vehicle from 1960s, 70s every game. Walker Bulldog, light tank that can front pen every german tank. M51, sherman with 400mm pen HEAT. M109, artillery from the 70s... I hate to say it but germany really does suffer XD They just lack good fast vehicles or proper CAS at higher BRs.

But every game they always push so far so fast that it becomes incredibly easy to flank them. Seems like they recently buffed mid-map AA again, at least at lower BR's. Haven't noticed a difference in jet tiers. I was getting shredded at 4km altitude earlier when flying out the cannon Mustang and B7A2, just being on the enemies side of the map.
One match I was dogfighting some dude at about 5km altitude and about 2km away from a base horizontally (so not directly above it, but even if I was would still be stupid), AA hit me once, set me on fire, then 2 seconds later hit me again and pilot sniped me.

He dives down to gain speed, pulls up and releases the bomb so it goes upwards and arcs towards the target while staying far away from the target and spaa. I don't know how to learn it lol, it takes skill, experience and patience i would assume:)

That smigol, the one, and only smigol, has the arcade lead indicator burned into his retina from the amount of time he's spent playing war thunder. And now, I see that also, the bomb ccip reticle has been branded into his other eye. Born to see ballistics calculations fly through his head, forced to play war thunder.
I'd say it's a healthy combination of both, and also in some cases thought not all, the added factor of the mind-bogglingly poor plays made by usual players at these low/mid BRs these days.

Every semi competent player would have a few nutty clips like this, and Smigol is far beyond "semi competent". It's just a combination of skill, luck, and enemy skill issues qnd especially the last, it's never lacking in war thunder
can confirm. i have done everything in this video atleast once (though bomb tossing nowhere as perfect as him). but ofcourse i do have alot of moments opposite to that, and so does smigg. it just makes sense to only show the good stuff

I'm costantly getting reported for this: in BMP-3 i always hide behind a small hills, use binoculars to measure the distance and guide slow HE rounds going over the top of the hill (basically an artillery kind of use). At 9.0 you meet leo 1s and lots of wheel vehicles so one shot is all you need. Its a great feeling to get angry direct messages and ineffective ban reports for using BMP-3s only advantage 😊

analysis on all the kills: 1st (bombtoss) : combination of luck that the tank was there, and skill for aiming the bomb right where the cluster of what was once was the enemy team. 2nd (TD) : as goes with all of the tank destroyer kills, smigol simply seems to have learned the lead you need to pull with the long 88, and for extra fun (burn to enemy ego) uses the casemate tank. 3rd (TD) : ^^ 4th (TD) : quite a lot easier to aim this one than the other 2 TD kills, as the plane was flying towards smigol. 5th (bombtoss) : clearly there had been a few enemies driving / camping that area, and smigol just bombtossed it and got a lucky kill. Similar to first bombtoss. 6th (hs129) : the amount of hours smigol has flying this plane alone could probably exceed that of a normal player air time played total, so not suprising he is quite used to the drop / lead it has. . also that PE8 could have easily defended himself by using the keyboard to dodge and going into gunner to shoot smigol with the minigun 7.7's that thing has in the front. 7th (bf109) : classic german 20mm nuke shells :,) 8th (Crossmap) : as the enemy was scouted smigol could have used the minimap to make a close guess to the range, add to that the VELOCITY of the long 88 and its quite easy to get such a kill. 9th (hs129 AT) : need i say more about his experience flying that cannon? 10th (hs129 AT) : ^^ 11th (hs129 AT) : ^^^^ 12th (bf109) : yak almost got him, had smigol just rolled a bit more he'd been dead. After the yak flew by smigol was pretty much lined up for a perfect shot, which he could have used better by . firing 2 shells instead of just 1. 13th (bf109) : that spitfire has no idea how to fly, goes in way too fast and pretty much pulls into smigol's guns instead of even trying to dodge. 14th (bf109) : again with too much speed, tempest chasing smigol also lacks the magical ability of aiming so pretty much free kill. 15th (hs129) : that typhoon had no flaps so way worse low speed preformance that the hs129 with flaps here, then he rolls too far left, doesn't fix it in time and then reverses in front of the cannon. 16th (bf109) : P51H5 can easily run circles around 109K if flown right, though this one turned with way too much speed and ended up in front of the 20mm 17th (hs129) : i have no idea what that il2 was doing, he had a perfect shot on smigol, misses, then flies up and stalls. 18th (hs129) : looks like that P63 was distracted by something else 19th (bf109) : very lucky kill here, smigol tried stalling the ki44, which was bad since the ki44 was far from stalling while smigol was in freefall, had he just put a bit of rudder he'd kill smigol. ki 44 . here wasted 2 chances to kill smigol by not using the rudder. (4:29 & 4:34) 20th (bf109) : helpless and suffering corsair demolished by 20mm nuke :( 21st (bf109) : you can pretty easily predict the path of the plane, this is just done for extra style points 22nd (TD) : same as 2nd kill. 23rd (TD) : ^^ 24th (TD) : Isnt that more of a killsteal? the A20 was about to smash into trees cause the A35 demolished his right wing, then smigol fires his cannon blowing up the entire plane. 25th (TD AT) : there wasnt much room he could have been in, but I wouldn't have tried shooting that since the risk that you miss is quite big. 26th (bf109) smigol again fucking up a stallclimb, though first being saved by shitspanos, then getting a manouver kill thanks to a fuck ton of luck O.o (he should not have survived this) That's all of the kills in the video

Damn, that's some nice shit. I am normally against (excessive) CAS, but this is awesome, since for bomb-tossing you actually need skill. That's why I only do it with the Tornado, where the game compensates all skill needed for bombing
I hate CAS that just swoops in, drops a 2000lbs bomb on my head with 1sec delay and leaves or crashes. That's the type of CAS I despise. But precise and methodical CAS is always appreciated

8th (Crossmap) : as the enemy was scouted smigol could have used the minimap to make a close guess to the range, add to that the VELOCITY of the long 88 and its quite easy to get such a kill.

12th (bf109) : yak almost got him, had smigol just rolled a bit more he'd been dead. After the yak flew by smigol was pretty much lined up for a perfect shot, which he could have used better by . firing 2 shells instead of just 1.
13th (bf109) : that spitfire has no idea how to fly, goes in way too fast and pretty much pulls into smigol's guns instead of even trying to dodge.
14th (bf109) : again with too much speed, tempest chasing smigol also lacks the magical ability of aiming so pretty much free kill.
15th (hs129) : that typhoon had no flaps so way worse low speed preformance that the hs129 with flaps here, then he rolls too far left, doesn't fix it in time and then reverses in front of the cannon.
16th (bf109) : P51H5 can easily run circles around 109K if flown right, though this one turned with way too much speed and ended up in front of the 20mm
17th (hs129) : i have no idea what that il2 was doing, he had a perfect shot on smigol, misses, then flies up and stalls.
18th (hs129) : looks like that P63 was distracted by something else
19th (bf109) : very lucky kill here, smigol tried stalling the ki44, which was bad since the ki44 was far from stalling while smigol was in freefall, had he just put a bit of rudder he'd kill smigol. ki 44 . here wasted 2 chances to kill smigol by not using the rudder. (4:29 & 4:34)
20th (bf109) : helpless and suffering corsair demolished by 20mm nuke :(
21st (bf109) : you can pretty easily predict the path of the plane, this is just done for extra style points
22nd (TD) : same as 2nd kill.

24th (TD) : Isnt that more of a killsteal? the A20 was about to smash into trees cause the A35 demolished his right wing, then smigol fires his cannon blowing up the entire plane.
25th (TD AT) : there wasnt much room he could have been in, but I wouldn't have tried shooting that since the risk that you miss is quite big.
26th (bf109) smigol again fucking up a stallclimb, though first being saved by shitspanos, then getting a manouver kill thanks to a fuck ton of luck O.o (he should not have survived this)

I think the guy accusing doesn’t know you have extremely good aim and that you rudder roll, I think the most impressive thing about smigol is the way he uses his rudder to get spicy when dogfighting

That's why I only do it with the Tornado, where the game compensates all skill needed for bombing
I hate CAS that just swoops in, drops a 2000lbs bomb on my head with 1sec delay and leaves or crashes. That's the type of CAS I despise. But precise and methodical CAS is always appreciated
