The kid getting interviewed is Ross McCall, who later was known for playing roles in HBO's "Band of Brothers" and on "24: Live Another Day".

This happened all the time. While they were filming 'spread your wings' the director is very rude and doesn't know Brian's name etc; the guy who shot 'play the game' was apparently quite abusive; and ofcourse Saul Swimmer was truly horrible/tyrannical directing them for 'rock montreal'. A lot of men working in music videos/film industry seem to be grossly disrespectful, to say the very least.

I'm sorry to say I never gave much thought to all that goes into the actual creation of a music video. It must have been very tiring for Freddie if he was feeling the effects of his illness but when it's time to perform he gives it his all and he looks so great. He was so brave and dedicated. I just love him.
I used to date a DP (director of photography) who did a lot of music videos in the 80s. Oh my God they would shoot for 18 hours, endless long days, to make a video for a 3-minute song! And then the editing would start!

the thing is that during the miracle sessions, he was still suffering with aids but the aids didn't really started effecting his health until 1990 and during the filming of these are the days of our lives you can really tell that his health was declining and decaying. So his health was really bad by 1991 and even in 1990. either way, he was brave working hard on the miracle and innuendo albums even though he was in bad health at that time. anyways, we love you freddie and always will. you will never be forgotten. even in hundreds of years people will still know the name freddie mercury.
I never thought Freddie was ill at all looking at him in 89 on the Miracle.. it was only in 1990 on an awards show i saw him and thought how he had lost too much weight being clean shaven and wearing that light blue suit didn't help either. Then on the innuendo vids it was obvious he was pretty ill at that time.
@Lightbringer yes my friend you are correct. If Freddie would have had the disease later he would have had the life saving drugs. Very very tragic indeed.
@Lightbringer Aids was a relatively new disease then so not much was known about it and the medication just slowed the inevitable end so knowing this in the end he stopped taking his medication and decided to go. I think he tried radiotherapy too which also causes weight loss.
@@orkunkoksal8711 indeed. there wasn't even a name for it back then, that's how new it was at the time. he knew he didn't have much time left, and he told the other guys to keep writing more songs for him to sing...
In Live AID, he was *sweating* . And I mean a lot. Also, he was diagnosed with AIDS in the 1980s. But again, like you said, it started decaying his health in 1990. He was basically bed-bound in 1991.

Very very nice the backstages, you can see inside the scenes and you can understand how the video has been released. For my opinion "The Miracle" is the sweetest video ever released by Queen, the boy who played Freddie was awesome and looked a lot like to him.

The creative process is fascinating to watch as the ideas are being presented during the video shoots. While I know it was a chore and utterly boring to do these videos I am grateful to the time and energy Brian, Freddie, John, and Roger put forth for their fans and their craft. Thank you.

The kid who plays Freddie went on to be an adult actor! His name is Ross McCall, there's actually an interview on CZcams you can look up where he talks about it, and he said this was actually his tenth acting gig, which is probably why he was so good, he had some acting experience already 😆
