Leon Kennedy and Helena Harper do battle against Derek Simmons in Resident Evil 6 Remastered for PS4 in FULL 1080p60!
The video consist of all the boss fight encounters of Derek Simmons from Leon's campaign in RE6. Simmons has several forms at his disposal thanks to being infected by the C-Virus, much like William Birkin with the G-Virus before him. But unlike Birkin, whom mutates seemingly in a one-way transformation (unable to revert back to previous forms once gained), Simmons ended up becoming a shapeshifter mutant instead. Being able to revert back and forth by his own will and vice-versa to another form thanks to the traits from the C-Virus.

Who is Derek Simmons?
He is the National Security Adviser of President Adam Benford and leader of the group known as The Family. He is the one responsible for the nuclear destruction of Raccoon City and the bioterrorist attack on Tall Oaks which even infects the president as well. He is the main antagonist of Leon's campaign, the secondary antagonist of Ada's campaign, and the tertiary antagonist of Jake's campaign.

One of my favorite things about this is that when you finally kill him, his blood creates the Umbrella logo. Says a lot about him.
Yeah, it really symbolises that Simmons' actions were just as diabolical as Umbrella, and his connections to Neo-Umbrella.
That 's why Simmons shouldn't abuse anyone for too much, too much abusive is unhealthy for anyone

Out of all transformations, Simmons has one of the more oddly interesting ones.
It’s tactical usage is insane. His four forms cover a broad range of usages. And he still gets a relatively human base form, albeit with obvious cracks in his skin. Really, I wouldn’t want it at all. But I can’t deny that it has its interesting aspects.
He is the most dangerous boss I dealing with him in all resident evil games
I don’t know, I feel like that’d probably be one of the better mutations if they worked out most of the kinks: regeneration, total biological adaptability, and you still look human, which is a hell of a lot better than anything the fuckin’ G or T virus has to offer.

I played through Leon's campaign with a friend and each time Simmon's showed up again we were both amazed at how cool the mutations were and simultaneously laughing at how ridiculous they were and just how badly they violated the law of conservation of matter. I mean Resident Evil 4 and 5 had some crazy mutations but nothing on SImmons.

I'm conflicted, Simmons has without a doubt the coolest transformation sequences and forms, but when you think about them, they make no sense.
I guess it boils down to suspension of belief.
They are really cool, but they're over the top and unleashed too quickly. They have no reasonable buildup like with the monsters in previous games.

id say simmons transformations reflect his life and mood a bit. The first was a beast willing to destroy anything that gets in his way for Ada and his goals. Next the horse centaur like being as he himself thinking he is noble for his ambitions and goals. The rampaging dinosaur when he doesnt get what he wants and only wanting revenge, Then the parasitic bug that leeches on anything in rage to survive no matter what. OR something like that.

In terms of power and versatility, this puts the G Virus to shame, especially given that the infected are still capable of rational thought. I mean, Simmons goes through some serious sanity slippage as the game goes on, but then again, the guy was always crazy, he just had a lid on it until he got infected.
After all the Enhanced C-Virus mutations, Simmons holds his sanity the longest, weird.

Well, his transformation is certainly.... unique. I can't think of a lot of people in this series who have transformed and have been able to go back to looking human-ish. Most of the time, transformation is a one-way-street, so seeing him being able to transform into such a giant freakin bug and then back to a human is interesting.
Kinda reminds me of Autobots and Decepticons transformation from Transformers from Hasbro
He is like a machine of flesh and bones, or some morbid living piece of art. I wish these had more build up like the other monsters in RE, as its it a rather cool concept, and design.

His death scene was pretty epic. It symbolized that Simmon's actions were just as evil as the Umbrella Corporations. Umbrella was responsible for the Raccoon City Incident, but it was Simmons who wiped out that city in order to cover up any evidence of the U.S's involvement with Umbrella, killing countless in the process.

One thing I really loved about this game was the fact that you could do all sorts of cool ass flips and dodges and slides and all that stuff. I mean, yeah, this is more an action game than a horror one, but I think it's a good game nonetheless.
Glad someone agrees. Resident evil may be a horror game at its roots. And I respect that and anyone who just wants that era back. But that doesn't mean this isn't a fun game judging it on it's own.
@@Guardian-of-Light137 honestly it being fun is the only reason I even bother to play it. It's a little too actiony for me and the lore is confusing at some points, but the combat made it fun at least. Resident evil has always had some action-like parts in it but an entire game of it doesn't really fit the series. 5 was more tolerable and definitely fun to play too
For me is the worst resident evil capcom must've given another name to the game and its fine but not a resident evil.

@@Arngrim. RE4,RE5 and RE6 are all fun games, but they aren't Resident Evil games.
Being able to do what you would expect from trained agents and literally people with a working brain doesn't detract from the horror aspect in my opinion. Resident evil was always about soldiers, agents, cops fighting monsters, so playing as a cop not being able to even shove or jump out of the way of danger is downright idiotic in later games. It's not even about training, what Leon had to be taught to kick an incoming enemy before res 4 ? TLDR i know but I just can't get over the fact that people equate being able to just aim and shoot to horror and any other action as being "too action". And the most infuriating part is that Capcom being a business, had to cave in to these demands.

What Simmons didn't realize it was Carla who's behind the ENTIRE situation. His plan WAS a great success, but comes to a FATAL ERROR when the virus messed people up. Him and her paid the ultimate price.

Am I the only one who like this boss fight? I like this crazy strain of the C virus that’s letting him transform into multiple forms and back. Also the whole punching him to death could mean that physical attacks can damage his humanoid form like ada’s arrow and the pointy end of that statue are able to weaken him while bullets only effect his transformed forms. I Really don’t see the problem with how his pants and shoes are still intact. He was on fire for a moment before transforming and fire can fuse inorganic material into flesh I mean look at Anakin when he got burned before getting the darth Vader suit. And really a organic transformer is creepy enough as his skin and bones comes apart, rearrange his body and turns into a monster

I feel like Chris would have had no problem beating Simmons...I mean all he needed to do was channel his inner boulder-smashing strength! lol...that still has to be one of the funniest scenes from any Resident Evil game. Giving that boulder in the final Wesker fight a flurry of jabs really showed Chris' inhuman strength :P

I know it’s kind of hard to take Derek Clifford Simmons seriously, but Leon and Helena are actually making it a lot easier.
Derek Simmon's transformation reminds me of that of Transformers, except it's extremely grotesque but cool at the same time.
I love that when the ending scence, Leon try to look back to find Ada, wondering if she still there

EightOfSupreme I think the C-Virus used some of the G virus’s RNA, that’s about the only virus in the franchise that can cause that extreme of mitosis. There’s plagas, but those aren’t viruses and are separate and exist as small weak point.

This game honestly reminds me more of BeastWars/ BeastMachines than RE. If plot was to be changed a virus was made to alter humans becoming like the Predacons or Maximals in a organic state. Some were failures while others evolved and Simons is an example of a resurrected Megatron XD

Simmons drove the real Ada away when he decided to nuke Raccoon City, which killed many who were still alive trying to escape. He kidnapped and killed thousands of innocent women in order to create an Ada clone which resulted in Carla's mind and life being ruined by the end of those experiments, and resulted in a her vengeful spree against Simmons in RE6. Then he infects and kills an entire population of people in order to kill the President, then nukes the city right after. How could you be on his side and feel bad for him, dude was pure evil.

And also, how does Derek simmons have so much blood to paint the umbrella symbol? If I had to guess it would take a a few to several liters of blood depending on the depth of the "petals" of the umbrella symbol to hold the blood in pools to form it.
Given that he apparently had enough biomass to turn into a dinosaur before he started eating zombies, having that much blood isn't much of a stretch.
