    Love this, I am patiently waiting for mine to come in the mail. I have heard it repels over vinyl, have you had that happen and what is your solution to it. Also how do you clean up the rims of your cups when using this ?

      curious about this too

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  Před 2 lety

      Thank you ! I’ve put it over vinyl and haven’t had any repelling issues. But you could add 1-2 coats of glitter glue on top of your vinyl before the top coat . That will help you avoid any repelling. I clean the rim of my cups once I’m done with them . I use an xacto knife to clean up the rim area .

    Does the cup have that sticky residue after the epoxy? I ask because I have purchased epoxy products in the past from a vendor and it was sticky for a while and then not shiny. So disappointing.

  • @missscrapcraftstore7709

    Love your videos. I am ready to order now from Crystalac and, of course, the grand finale. When you apply the glitter, do you just hang the tumblers to dry or do you put them in the turner to dry?

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  Před 2 lety +1

      Thank you 🥰 I hang dry usually. If I glitter with Brite Tone or grand finale I do it on the spinner so I let it spin for an hour and then turn off the turner and let it dry for the rest of the required dry time 😊 either on the turner (if I don’t need to coat any other cups) or off the turner.

    • @maggiekehoe4614
      @maggiekehoe4614 Před 2 měsíci

      Before I discovered Grande Finale, I tried Mod Podge hard coat and MinWax Oil base varnish. Used both on coasters and hoped that cups and glasses would not stick. They did and I had to sand between coats. Tried Grande Finale, but had to sand before the first coat. No sanding between coats for Crystalac products. Cups and glasses don’t stick to the coaster. 😊

    • @MelissaCrafter

      I do a scuff sand. Making sure the whole cup is sanded. The paint primers won't streak if you use a good brush and do a few coats.

    • @MelissaCrafter
      @MelissaCrafter  Před rokem

      Yes definitely. You would just need to allow the proper dry time for each. If using grand finale: wait 2 hours after each coat. If using brite tone: wait 4 hours after each coat. You can interchange between the two. I also have so much BT. so I'm using both until I run out of BT.
