Comfortable living in Vietnam is anywhere from $800-1200/month. So if you have $300,000 that will last you 25 years. This is using $300,000/$1000/12 month = 25 years. $1000 was used to account for inflation or increased budget as you also want to enjoy life and not completely live on a strict budget. This is assuming you are renting as you can find many condos for rent around $400-500/month outside of HCM or city center of HCM. There are condos you can buy under $100k if you want to own but that leaves you with less money. Honestly, I think you need at least $500k. As you get older health cost will be a concern. $300k in just cash with no other source of income or no future income is stretching it, assuming you have 25-30 more years to live.

Look up T bill bro. 5.3% government back by USA. 300k is about a little more than 15k a year. Divide that by 12 month you get about 1325 a month to live on. You can live on that as long as you don't over spend but your only 55 why would you want to retire so young. Work part time in Vietnam, 20 hour a week is not too much to ask for. Don't forget inflation as thing will only get more expensive over time your money will also be worth less.

If you are eligible for Vietnamese citizenship then you can work. That stretches the savings many years.
You can live remotely really, really affordably too. It depends what floats your boat mate.
Try it. Test it. You might like it.

You obviously have no idea what you are talking about more than 50% of Bangkok are ethnic Chinese the Royal family has Chinese blood and the prime minister is Chinese .
They have Thai names but they are the merchant class they own everything the Banks big business everything.
Because of their financial power they have major influence in how the country is run Thailand is basically run by Chinese all their billionaires are Chinese .
Tops Big C and Mega mart in Vietnam are all owned by Thai Chinese billionaires even Saigon beer is majority owned by Thai Chinese billionaires .
Saigon before 1975 was the same but after the war many Chinese fled and they don’t have the power they once have

The state registration of notary public and Apostille authority are important legal authority. The Department of Treasury of the state to authorize all professional licensure with insurance liability is essential function with underwriting policies. The national level of government that diplomacy with signed sovereignty immunity as exempt covered position within the scope of political exposed persons must understand the defined term: Political Exposed Person defined. The compliance for assurance with delegated authority historically has parallel forensic factors of state authority litigation powers of judicial capacity. This recognized concern with individual responsibility with state issued identification cards is prominent testament of state action to remedy the concern. The responsibility to have public trust and culpability for political exposed person liability is shared in that essential factor. Sincerely, Andrew Stephen Drazdik Jr 29th June 2024
