How to Make Medida : Authentic Sudanese Porridge Recipe

    Ingredients
    1/4 cup sorghum flour
    3 tbs starter
    4 cups of water
    6 tsp sugar
    ¼ -1/2 tsp salt
    Oil optional
    Cardamom drops
    Lemon juice
    Milk for serving
    Instructions
    1. Add 4 cups of water into a large saucepan then add 3 tbsp of starter if desired then whisk, add ¼ cup of dry corn meal and whisk well until it dissolves in water.
    2.Bring the mixture to a boil while whisking continuously until the mixture starts to become thick.
    3. Add salt and sugar then mix well. Simmer for 3 minutes, stir occasionally and serve with milk or yoghurt and fruit.
