  • Originally constructed by Cardinal Thomas Wolsey in the early 16th century, Hampton Court Palace is one of the oldest royal palaces in the United Kingdom. It was frequently occupied by King Henry VIII and his six wives, earning a reputation as his favoured retreat. The palace's Tudor interiors, some of the best preserved in the country, bear witness to this rich history. The formal fountain gardens of Hampton Court Palace are a testament to the passage of time, showcasing a blend of Tudor, Baroque, and Victorian styles. Many of the deeply rooted yews date back to the Baroque era, making them approximately 300 years old. Initially designed for the enjoyment of royalty, these gardens have been accessible to the public since 1838, allowing thousands to appreciate their beauty annually. The gardens' vibrant and regal allure never fails to brighten one's day. If you're a garden enthusiast, be sure to allocate a few hours to wander through these historic grounds and immerse yourself in their rich heritage.
