Would be cool to see you guys do a video showing how to estimate an off-grid setup based on an electricity bill that shows usage over a 12 month period and expected sunlight for that region.
Watts is the unit for an instantaneous measure. Watts is a rate of usage, actually joules/second. When you run something for an hour, you multiple the watts by the hours and the unit for that is watt-hours, so one watt for one hour is one watt-hour. Or to be more explicit, one joule-hours/second. Or one joule-3600second/second. Or by using the 1 watt for one hour you used 3600 joules of energy (because the second/second, as any division, is one). Just like driving at 60 miles/hour. If you drive that rate for one hour, you have driven 60 mile-hour / hour. Or 60 miles.
I would go with the normal battery usage expectation and get a cheap Harbor Freight generator for the edge cases. My inverter allows gen input. At least that is my plan till the $40kw Sodium Ion rack batteries arrive.
When you say 7 days without sun, you just mean like northeast US or more north and its cloudy for many days in a row, correct? Or do you live SO far north you literally don't see the sun? Because that was be impressive, my friend.
Gentlemen and ladies, I have two lithium ion 12 V batteries each is 3500 watt hours. If I wire them in parallel voltage stays at 12 what happens to the hours when I have 7000 W hours? What happens when I wire those two batteries and series to give me 24 V do the water and give me 7000? Or do the watt hours stay the same at 3500? Thank you in advance anyone?
Well, 5.5k much different than 381k and then like 121k. The “forgotten channels” Hope your personal life and work life are going great. Too bad the first channel didn’t make you happy. It was a great channel. And was constantly growing. I doubt you’re expecting of growing this channel much bigger than it already is. Just isn’t a thing the average American is interested in, but if it makes you happy. I’m happy for you. Just wanted say I missed your channel and so do ALOT of other people.
