  • HI Everyone!
Today I to build at my shop the Keith Richards Micawber Telecaster is built on a low budget Part6. I'm trying to install the tuning keys on the headstock today! Unfortunately, the pre-drilled sockets on the development are all different, so I have to glue and re-drill the 9mm sockets! Then comes the assembly. If you have any question please ask my or I make something wrong, please tell me! Thank your very much for the "Like" or "dislikes " please subscribe.

For info, Fender makes vintage-style tuners with the two pin mountings, which the neck is designed for (although they’re not aged)

Thanks, but it's fixed! I ordered adapter rings, but unfortunately they were also 9.55 millimeters. Therefore, unfortunately, I had to quickly glue it in order to reach the 8 millimeter diameter and move on with the work! Unfortunately, I have to wait 5-7 working days here in Innsbruck for every order.

Sorry but I have to say something. You’ve made a critical mistake in firstly not dry fitting all the hardware to the wollodwork, hence the jack issue, which could have probably been solved with a football jack plate and with the tuners you don’t buy the tuners until you have the neck and check the hole size. In your situation I would have gotten some conversion bushes or better still bought the right size in the first place. You shouldn’t have to doing all this work just to assemble a guitar from parts.

First of all, thank you for watching my videos and for commenting! Well, you are absolutely right, it should be exactly as you say! However, we also took that route into account, but we would have gone over the 1,500 euro budget! I would like to make a last separate section about the price of the parts, here I will mention to you that the telecaster body was bought on e-bay for 137 euros 10 months ago, the other parts were all bought individually at the cheapest prices from the USA, because the owner wanted that every piece is made in the USA! This was the challenge for me to stay under 1,500 euros and even include my work fee! For me, It's a challenge! Thanks again for your input and I look forward to hearing from you anytime!
