Ok but why didn’t you go over the fact that you can play a Just Say No card after a Just say No card is played against you?
Example: I play a deal breaker, and the opponent plays a Just Say No. I then play another No card to counter their No card. It’s a pretty neat trick, I don’t know why you didn’t think of it.

I would never use my 'just say no' card on against a birthday card. The Just Say No card is too powerful of a card, especially late in the game to protect against the Deal Break cards. That's almost the only time I'd ever consider using it unless a big rent will cost me a lot of properties, then I would use it there as well.

This is a classic mistake people make. Using the jist say no early on to prevent other players growth will also prevent big rents. Deal breaker can be prevented in other ways too.
But your mistake is a common one. Its a mistake i exploit all the time.

@@ElliottRecommends the only other way to protect against a deal breaker is to then hold off building sets until the end, but then you're vulnerable to the sly deal or forced deal action cards which there are a lot more of in the deck

@@JeremyKnight everything is situational. You are always vunerable to something. Have to pick a strategy or you'll get played.
Knowing how many of each card is in the deck and memorising whats been played is important. Eg. If all the sly deal have been played. No worry.
With the forced deal. You can trick people into giving you the card you want when they play it.
Monopoly deal strategy is psychological much as situational.

can you do that? 2:29 he plays a wild card to separate the full deck but that seems kinda unethical

Wouldnt it be better to just give 2 million in response to its my birthday rather than use just say no? When i play the rule is you cant break a set so how woukd we count er deal breaker?

All we care about is trying to win the game

Why do we care so much about protecting the Number of cards, vs the Value of the cards?

Because early in the game. If you have 5x 1m cards vs 1x 10m card. The player with 5 1m cards can oay rent 5 times. The player with 1 10m card can only pay rent once before being wiped out.
