Hello Guys,
Avakhung International Border Checkpost, also known as Avankhu in Phek district of Nagaland, is an International Border Checkpost on India-Myanmar barrier and a highway is being developed as part of the Bharatmala project.
Whenever you guys visit the Northeastern states of Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram or Arunachal Pradesh, you will find lots of these Chinese Bike ( Local people call it Burmese, but its made in China ) These Bikes are quite popular in North East India bcoz of its cheap price & heavy duty performance.
In this video, I have shared my experience of traveling to our beautiful state of Nagaland in North East India. I had amazing experiences in Nagaland & now I'm going to share these experiences in the form vlogs. I hope you will enjoy these vlogs of my Nagaland. Nagaland is also called “ The Land of Last Head Hunters”
Nagaland is a landlocked state in the northeastern region of India. It is bordered by the Indian states of Arunachal Pradesh to the north, Assam to the west, Manipur to the south and the Sagaing Region of Myanmar to the east. Its capital city is Kohima and its largest city is Dimapur.
Nagaland became the 16th state of India on 1 December 1963. It is home to a rich variety of natural, cultural and environmental resources.

Wherever you are in Nagaland I suggest that it’s better to take rest on sundays in Nagaland since it’s a Christian state and everyone goes to church plus public refrains from travelling and all so hope you keep a note of it so that you don’t face any inconvenience next time .

Travelers must remember in mizoram and nagaland on sundays all shops are completely closed and no public vehicles available easily

I remember this road when I visited to Kiphire and Tuensang in 2018. The whole road after Meluri is forest area. It is nervous as well as exciting. But Kiphire is gud. It has everything you need including petrol pumps and DC office, etc..

It's interesting but you must have learnt a lot it happened long time ago with an IAS officer from ministry of tourism to inspect all the css projects in one day in Nagaland and so we started early in the morning from Kohima after reaching Mokokchung he said enough our state is small but so many problems only when you travel you will get the reality on the ground anyway good luck and take care watching you from Kohima see you again

Normally you'll find less travellers between Kiphire and Tuensang moreover it was sunday. Since your plan was for Longwa, Mon after visiting Avankhung you should have continue your tata mobile(Truck) journey to Meluri instead of diverting from Akhegwo for Kiphire road, it could have saved you from all the unnecessary trouble.

for mon, you should come through Dimapur via Assam... easier route.
please come and explore Mon brother
U can take sumo directly from dimapur and reach mon town. Then from mon u can go to longwa
Or else
U can go to mon via sonari also
From dimapur to bhojo train se
Then take auto from bhojo to sonari
Then from sonari u can go to mon town in tata sumo or bus
Then from Mon go to longwan
This is easiest route, u won't face any problem with respect to conveyance and this route is cheap also.
bhojo and sonari is in assam, u will find many hotels also
Go and explore mon, is route is safe.

3000 for 30 km is very reasonable I guess or may be less I think because here in Bangalore Uber has charged 900 for 8 km ride within city 😶
