I think Pentagon is super underrated. They are doing well but the quality of their songs deserves better. They are self produced and the songs that i recommend:
-Basquiat (i think you might really like this song, i listened your bands songs that’s why i’m guessing this)

Former rock crit here and this is the song that convinced me I'd better get more serious about K-Pop in general. It's the things people hated abouy Sticker that made me actually leap out of the shower to find out "who dat?" And I am now absolutely fascinated with and besotted by NCT127.
People were so divided when this song came out. People really hated the flute the first day. A few days later, the same people loved the flute because it brought them back. It's such a strange song and it makes you want to listen to it more. I loved your review lol I've never noticed the "yeah yeah yeah"s

I'm in my 40s and I liked Sticker. It may not be my favorite, but I listen to it and the whole Sticker/Favorite (Vampire) album on a daily.
I think instead ofthe word “sticker”, i think it was the flute that was stuck in everyone’s head lmao. I’m not complaining though, i think im one of the few who actually likes the flute and the song.

i feel a bit validated when you said that the piano is on key but a little bit out becauss while people are disoriented by the flute, i am jarred by the piano especially during the chorus. also i initially didn't like the chorus and the reason may be due to what you have pointed out too. anyways, the song was quite a lot for me on the first listen but i have grown to love it. thank you for the review.

It was very interesting to hear a professional's thoughts on this song. I personally like this song and its uniqueness. NCT, especially NCT 127, is considered pretty experimental with their music. That's why I really like this group. I hope that you will take a look at more of their songs.

I really wish you could do Key - Bad Love. Personally, I think the song is good at first listen. The 80s, retro vibe really complement Key’s vocals.

I may be included in the team that at first didn't like the flute sound, but as it got stuck in my head, it made me came back to listen it. I was more attracted to the vocals at first, as I really love their vocals. This song deffinitely fit the NCT 127 trademark "unique sound".

the reception to sticker was so odd to me because i liked it from the first listen, but i've been an nct fan for a while and i'm used to being surprised by their title tracks by now, if that makes sense. i really liked your breakdown, maybe you would like to analise focus or far from the same album?

I think I agree with you that the chorus could have been more impactful if the producers had either gotten rid of or reduced how much the effect was applied to the vocals. I've heard their in-studio recordings, and they are amazing. The main producer, Yoo Young-Jin, wanted them to sing and rap their lines in very specific ways before he added the effect to the vocals.
The first time I listened to it I had pretty much the same reaction as a lot of reactors and listeners; "that song was...interesting" seems to be the main way of expressing how people that didn't immediately hate the song felt about it. That flute part just threw me for a loop, but I immediately liked the vocalists' techniques, the bass line, the strings, and just about all the other musical things I could hear on a first listen. This song, like other NCT 127 songs like "Firetruck" (their 2016 debut song) and "Cherry Bomb" (their first music award win in 2017), had to grow on me. One song by NCT 127 that I absolutely loved from the first few seconds listening to it was their 2017 song "Limitless." I can't express why everything about that song speaks to me so much, but it does.
