My friend said he saw Johnny Cash pretty late in Cashes life. Cash had pneumonia and the doctor pleaded with him to cancel show. Cash refused. When he walked out on stage it was pouring rain. And Cash told the audience what was up and asked them “are you with me?” And they said yes and Cash proceeded to rock out for over 2 hours in the rain, with pneumonia in his 70’s. My friend said he saw Johnny Cash pretty late in Cashes life. Cash had pneumonia and the doctor pleaded with him to cancel show. Cash refused. When he walked out on stage it was pouring rain. And Cash told the audience what was up and asked them “are you with me?” And they said yes and Cash proceeded to rock out for over 2 hours in the rain, with pneumonia in his 70’s. My friend said it was one of the greatest shows he’s ever seen. Not every musician is built like Johnny Cash!!!

While I completely understand where Funky D is coming from concerning the reality of reparations. The same used to be said about a black man becoming president of the United States. My mother (RIP) was born in the Jim Crow south in 1927 and never could have imagined the phenomenon of Barack Obama, but she lived to see it! Many of us may not be around to see it but it will happen. I'm just happy that I inherited the longevity gene from my father's family; I'm a native of San Francisco and if any American city can achieve reparations, SF will, and I'm gonna live long enough to get mine! LOL!
