Thank you so much @rwfoxtrot! It's been a real grind to restructure the farm over the last few years, buts it's nice to see it coming together finally. Thank you so much for watching our videos!!!!!

Hi, there again ! The Village Idiot here again from 🇬🇧. Another great video. Thank you for taking the time and trouble to post them. Whilst I’ve never had the opportunity to travel to Alberta, I’ve heard much about it from my late father who was stationed there with the RCAF whilst undertaking pilot training during World War Two. He trained in Alberta on twin engined Ansons, Beech, before coming back to the UK to fly Beaufighters and then Mosquito night fighters during the later stages of the war. He was very fond of Canada and its people. He was at a few airbases there, one near Edmonton and another near Calgary. My avatar is in his honour. A wonderful man.

And True Grit is a great movie. Here in south west England our farmers took a second hay cut a couple of weeks ago, with silage cut in late May or June. Your weather extremes throughout the year are crazy.

New to the channel. Coming from the uk, this feels like a very European way of doing things, and i like it

Thank you so much for watching from the uk! We get that a lot about the equipment we run, and some of our strategies. You guys have been farming for longer than we have, so I like the idea of learning your techniques!

Drop a wrench in one of those cracks, someone in china could end up with a 3/4 wrench. 🤣👍🍻. We were hot up here, now it’s raining every few days, been holding up the last of our haying. Better problem than dry though.

Would u get a better silage bales if you mowed it before it headed out ?

Great question! Yes we would, however the cattle market in our area prefers it to go almost full term. So in the end, we try to give them what they want. We also have to consider that we only have a 90 day growing season, so we need to make the absolute most tonnage off our 1 cutting.
