This is honestly a nostalgia trip. I know it came out nearly 3 years ago but the separate videos were released overtime. So seeing it all put together again after it came out makes me die with joy considering I last watched this when online classes were put in order

Even tho william was kinda already insane but I don't think he really did recognize his son because he was locked in a room for 30 years, so it's very likely he just forgot about Mike.
Oh and also Michael knew that william killed kids and then when he goes missing he now knows william is dead. So when he goes to the pizzeria and sees a flesh rabbit attacking him he puts 2 and 2 together and knows that he is William

I love how when William goes after Henry, he 1. Doesnt even consider closing the door first, 2. Just stands there as Henry runs out the door of his office, and THEN decides to chase him and 3. William literally has a knife sitting rught next to him that he could have thrown at the tire and just pulled open the door and stabbed him. But hey, this is a nostalgic masterpiece, and I love how theh even included that scene, so it doesnt have to be perfect.

Afton's lore is so strange but amazing to me. Like cmon,
1930, during the great depression, a boy named William goes to see a bear do cool things, like balance on a ball, and he goes, "Wow omg that is really cool! I should probably make a restaurant where kids can have fun which probably won't end in somthing really really bad!" So a few years later he's like 20 and he opens a place where you can see him and his new friend, Henry Emily, perform in animal suits. Fredbear and springbonnie. But that sucks. It sucks really bad. Like nobody cares about it. So they ACTUALLY make a restaurant with pizza this time and no more costumes, now animatronics. Fredbear and springbonnie are animatronics now YAY! So William was off to do some more stuff with Henry so his oldest son, Micheal, was forced to take care of the youngest, Evan, aka The Crying Child. So Micheal thought that it would be a really funny and good prank if he shoved Evan in Fredbears mouth 'cause..Funny, right? So at closing time he shoved him in Fredbears mouth and circuits malfunction and Fredbear bite's Evan's head off. William gets mad and kills Henry's daughter Charlie, because Fredbear was his model. Henry's model killed his son. Blah blah the rest plays out you know, so after the souls of the peeps he killed come back, he goes into the springbonnie suit and, omg, SPRINGLOCK FAILURE!! William is invincible so he doesn't die. 30 years later in Fnaf 3, Springtrap is his new name. But then he just kinda get's destroyed and turns into Scraptrap, aka The Ugliest William Afton Phase There Is. Scraptrap basically goes on a murdering spree, but then if Fnaf 6 you trap all the animatronics in a fire, including ScrapTrap. He burns alive and is sent to, "The Darkest Pits Of Hell" Where he is eternally tortured by the people he murdered. But then he comes back in SB? What?
So yea. Pretty intresting.

If one was to go back over all the dead children, their going back to heaven (or wherever you think the souls of the dead go), and you just really think about how elizabeth died at the beginning, so did evan, and finally, at the very end, they get to reunite as souls, just for their mother (if you agree with matpat's theory) put them all back together, souls and all, but back on earth, and made them all suffer again, it brings a tear to the eye. This does an amazing job of capturing that, so this has got to be one of the absolute best FNAF music videos. probably one of the best FNAF videos PERIOD.

This is such an interesting take on the story! Sometimes I forget that, for a really long time, there was a long-standing theory that crying child was Michael.
Now, years after the fact, we know that Michael was William’s oldest, and that William’s attempt to revive his middle child failed, leaving said kid trapped in golden Freddy with golden Freddy’s other spirit, Cassidy.
We also know now that we play as Mike in every game except for FNAF 2, including FNAF 4, since it was a remnant experiment William was running and used his son in it for convenience.
It’s cool to step backwards a bit in fandom history and see how our perceptions of the story developed over time.

If you're asking about Part 5, the answer is simple. William never got home to see his son wake up. He didn't expect to see him. He didn't recognize him, at least until the end (when Michael set the place on fire).
