I am a MOSTLY silent subscriber on your page. When I started watching you, your discomfort in front of the camera was evident (to me) because I am the same way. I could also see that (at times) you seemed unhappy or sad while filming...seemingly pushing through whatever personal issues that may have been going on in your life. May I say that I honor your vulnerability and I appreciate you sharing things that are THIS personal, with all of us. I hope that there is something liberating that you gain from these types of vlogs. I used to make curtains out sheets too! I was married but we didn't have a lot of money so I have always make due with what I had. We didn't live in fancy or new but I was always able to make our house homey.
She was beautiful. I understand your loss. I wanted a craft tv show, like Carol Duval. I have gone through so much loss (family members) I’ve almost my creative spark. Kelly, I'm so thankful that I found your channel a few years ago. You have always been such an inspiration to me. I remember vividly, most of those videos that drew me in. You were so down to earth and real. That alone impressed me, but the content also kept me coming back. I remember doing the same thing, making my curtains from flat sheets, because it was very cost effective. I had to hand stich them and was thrilled when I got a hand me down sewing machine. Fast forward to now, and I am creating loads. I want to thank you for that, because you inspired me so much (and continue to do so) the sky is the limit 😊. Bless you and your family Kelly. Kelly you should be very proud of what you do. My mother passed away 13 years ago on my birthday and I miss her every day. I just started crafting again since we left California and move to Cheyenne Wy. to be with my daughter and grandchildren, while her husband was deployed. Keep doing what you are doing you give inspiration to a lot of crafters...😘

Today when you broke down talking about your mom, I as well broke down crying by my machine. My mom passed away two years ago from Cancer. She was my Best Friend and I miss her tremendously. So Thank You for Sharing your story and allowing us to know you as a person as well. 💝

When I’m down you give me that pick me up! I love your creations. Late at night when I’m alone you help me to relax. My daughter loves owls too. Her dad had two owls he put on the Christmas tree every year. She still has one of them. It’s falling apart it has one eye. She loves it. I buy her some kind of owl every Christmas now. Some for the tree some to sit around the house. Keep up the good job! I love you! I love your puppy too!!

Kelly, I understand how you feel about your mother. My mom was a wonderful seamstress and taught me so much. Sometimes I was just too busy with my job to pay attention to what she had made. Now that she is gone, I wish I could share m crafts with her. I have a lot of her creations in my home and they remind me of her every day. Now I watch and learn from you. I don’t have a daughter with whom I can share but I can still sort of share with Mom! Thank you for all your inspiration.

I was a single parent, mother of two children, limited funds but always told my children, the apartment was our home and it was cozy, safe and comfortable! Your story resonates with me so much. Growing up we didn’t have a lot but we had everything we needed. My mom was also a very creative diy person. She always made our houses into homes. You are awesome!! I lost my mother at 19!! I had her on a pedestal!! I thought she was the perfect mother!! I felt like I would never be able to live up to what she was!!! So creative as well! Finally as I got quite a bit older I realized she wasn’t perfect, she had made a lot of not so great life decisions but I realized I had learned from them and didn’t look at it as flaw but as I watched my children become parents and people I worked with who parented alone and together you really realize how your parents (I just had a mom my father was killed on the job when my mom was 6 months pregnant with me and she already had had 4 children with him!! ). So you parent as good as you can ! I could see by the time I was 8, I could cook, I could clean, we all had chores and we thought life was wonderful!! I never knew how my mom struggled to keep a house running with 5 kids I knew we didn’t have a lot of money but eventually my mom built us a house and did tons of the inside work herself !! So just know all that creative you have is because you needed it to have things for your family and I think the less money we had the more creative I was! So you create as long as you can because at 70 I have lost a lot of my creative side because it is soooo easy to just buy it and fortunately I am able to do that however I have a craft room full of stuff for projects that I don’t get to near enough!! You go girl because you are awesome!!!!

One night while I was flipping through CZcams you popped up and the rest is history. You are such an inspiration to keep me focused on crafting and I thank you for that. I totally understand your mom and your relationship. I have felt the same with my mom. I would call her to ask about a recipe. Towards her onset of dementia she would call me about a recipe. After she passed, my dad would call me about recipes. He told me mom told him if he needed any help with a recipe to call me. Thank you for sharing your story. I found you on CZcams after my momma passed. Quite by accident, A God thing. I was, as you, so very close to my momma. She was indeed my best friend.
Your channel has indeed fulfilled your purpose in my life. I was grieving so hard I had given up the things I enjoyed. As I watched your vlog’s I began to get my creative juices flowing again and felt happier. I had my own sewing/alterations business for 43 years and closed it down to have the privilege to take care of my momma and then a short two years later my dad.
They are both enjoying our heavenly home now. And you have helped me and encouraged me so much thru my grief. You are truly fulfilling your calling in your life.

I remember the first time I saw you it was when u was making the ornament of ur mom and daughter..... ur mom seems to have been an amazing lady I too miss my mom so bad so when I watched that video I felt a connection with you I cried I know how it feels to loose an amazing part of ur life my mom raised 8 kids by herself I'm so greatful for the love she gave us . From my battle with cancer and even before that you won me over with the words so stinkin' cute and then I watched all your videos and I have been keeping up with you for more than several years now and I think that you are a beautiful soul. Don't listen to all the haters because they've got nothing else better to do and I feel so sorry for them. Thank you for sharing your life and your creative crafts and DIYs. You are an angel and you are loved by so many. You are a blessing and never forget that.

You are a wonderful person. I enjoy your creations. I am crafty myself. Mostly kids projects. I do with my granddaughters. I have just started to make a few of the things you have shown. Thank you ! My mom wasn't into acting, she was very creative and she became a cake decorator. She made some beautiful cakes. Her most challenging cake was a grooms cake of a big 3-D cruise ship. She mastered it with perfection. My mom has passed also.
