I like how people are worried about how you dug this out. When excavators flattened the land their home sits upon. Excavators dug the lands for roads to their schools, land for your parks, fields for your food. Virtually the entire land has been turned over for progress. Let the man remove a relic anyway he chooses, it can then be cherished instead of lost under your garage floor that was poured with resources harvested from the soil with an excavator. Do not condemn this person for he is doing our ancestors a great service.
I watched it done on a house I knew someone was building. In the back corner, he dug down about 4 feet, and there was river rock that a camp fire was there at one time. No river close. The rocks were all blackened. I stopped him and showed him but did no good. After the house was done, the house had nothing but problems. Every thing you could think of was happening to the builder’s. Glad I was working on another job. The couple that bought the house swear it up and down it was haunted. They moved within six months and divorced within eight. The bugs cockroaches spiders come out of the woodwork they were everywhere.
While I agree I don’t think its an excuse to not minimize further damage to the artifacts. However, this person clearly had an appreciation for the artifacts and will make sure they are taken care of once removed, and without their love of the hobby the artifacts may have never been found before being completely destroyed. If it were me I wouldn’t be using metal to dig it out, but it’s much better to have them recovered and possibly scratched than to be lost forever.
Finally! A CZcamsr/ artifact hunter that actually takes a digging tool! So many wander creek & river banks, fumbling with just their fingers! 🥴 😀Awesome finds!!
Awesome finds man. A buddy of mine had his basement dug out while he was building his house. I was helping him put some wiring in and looked on the ground and found a tomahawk head. It was broken at the back but definitely a find of a lifetime.
Awesome. I found 3 of them that day. I haven't found a celt for 25yrs. I still look at them to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Congrats on your find as well.
Right?! Doesn’t matter how long the video is the FF works just the same hahaha FF it to the good part and then leave without a comment or a like and just give them a view. But on some I’ll like, comment and share but that’s only super good or funny videos…. Carry on peasants.
I do, but I have a lot of competition there.. The Celts keep me coming back! I hope I find more and share it with you.. Thanks for subscribing!!! Good luck on your hunts!
The people crying about damaging the artifact are nieve. It looks to be made out of some type of granite or a similar metamorphic rock, which can't be scratched by steel unless you really put some effort into scratching it. I'd take it slower and more deliberately though 😂. You were pretty exited!
Nice job! With a sweet if you could cut a block of clay few inches bigger than the stone with the clay, so it looks like how you found it it was a triple the value!
Oh Noooooo... Haha You wouldn't believe how much flack I got just touching it with the knife.. I really should make a fake video using it.. People would loose there mind!!! HAHAHAHAHA
Me to. I hated it when the knife scraped it but you will be happy to know that it did not leave a mark...also the dirt was almost rock hard so it was very difficult to dig out..
I had came back looking for part two.... Man, have you ever had to deal with so many azzholez? Who are these "people", or are they even "people" at all? It is crazy how they enter comments in clumps, usually all nitpicking the same thing....and I find it very strange that the greater portion of these "viewers" don't even know what type of artifact you've discovered. Don't sweat these guys, you are only guilty of showing how much finding these implements truly meant by salvaging them and giving each proper care....Cheers!
Thank you . It's great that you added your comments. I did not know exactly what they were used for. That makes sense why the back sides are typically showing marks from being hit to drive it in the wood.
@@jaytwocheck4716 I grew up on the Coast of Georgia and found several of those small Celts. And I worked at the Laboratory Cuilapan in Oaxaca, Mexico and found several from a certain site and they all showed the same damage.
What is it ? To those of us unfamiliar with your find . A little conversation about its history, age , and purpose, while you were digging would have made this video much more interesting.
Most videos of finds are those who are so excited that they often ruin the treasure and even destroy it instead of calmly and carefully excavating it out. Very sad.
Lamento saber da sua perda.. Espero que um dia isso aconteça para você... Muito legal que você tenha conseguido salvar um deles. Obrigado pelo comentário!
I'm sure about that. I know people who have collected arrowheads all along the susquehanna River since the 1950's. But not allowed to keep. I don't think so. An Indian burial ground would be a huge mistake.

That is freaking amazing I have found one full Celt that looks exactly like that one I found here in South carolina. They are a rare find for sure

Identical to the greenstone neolithic polished axes we get here in Britain.
Really cool. Thank you for info. Very interesting!
Great Finds! Don't ever feel rushed while your digging it out. Trust me , I know how u felt. People will watch if its 20 Mins or 2 mins. 🙂

Awesome finds!

I am glad you don't want to damage the precious dirt around your dig area. Your scratching the artifact!
Dude I'd dig out that entire area. There has to be more
I wish I could !!!

I wonder how a rock got there?😁😆😅😂🤣🤣
Beautiful, a work of art.
I get being excited.... but, slow down and take your time digging it out. I cringed every time you scraped it with your steel tool.

What u said.. I've been there before.
It's a rock, I doubt much damage will be done or visibly seen LOL
Don't scratch it!
you were driving me crazy with that chisel... you need to get another tool.
Any suggestions? I cringed myself whenever it touched it. Ground was rock hard.
AWESOME

What were these stones used for back in the day?
I was told they could have bean used for digging and splitting wood.
This tool type was used for woodworking and tree felling
Skull splitting too I'm sure.
Multi tool

Native American tools used to chop or dig, also possible they used them as weapons
How deep were they?
They were showing on the suface.
Tripod please

It's a stone axe used by native Americans before European contact
Neolithic stoneaxe?
Celts yes

Me too, and corn 🌽

Slow down man. You put scrap marks on it.
