Summerâs here and that means one thing - itâs time for camp! đïž Join campers and counsellors old and new in the fun-filled Season 5 of Bunkâd.
Things have changed a little around Camp Kikiwaka as former counsellor, super eager Lou Hockhauser, has stepped up to take the mantle as the new camp director. đ Although itâs not always the easiest transition, luckily Louâs been joined by veteran campers Destiny, Finn and Matteo, who all help out as much as they can.
Plus, this summer the gang will also welcome two brand new counsellors Noah and Ava, as well as new camper Gwen. Between the three of them they may not have a great deal of camp experience - Noahâs an actor, Avaâs not even sure if she likes kids and Gwen has spent all of her life living off-grid - but they are definitely ready for an action-packed summer! đ¶
Join the campers and counsellors as they embrace a summer of change, taking on adventures both big and small. The summer may not always go to plan, but one thingâs for sure, theyâll learn a few important life lessons along the way. â„ïž
Lou Hockhauser (Miranda May) is taking on her biggest role yet as camp director. đ€© She is always cheerful and likes to stay positive and look on the bright side of life. She loves camp, but has to learn this year that being the boss comes with a little bit more responsibility than sheâs used to.
Destiny (Mallory James Mahoney) spends a lot of her time competing in pageants and knows how to always look her best. đ Sheâs super-confident and loves to be centre stage, but camp life might just help her to see another side of herself.
Finn (Will Buie Jr.) has once again turned up at camp with a suitcase of dirty clothes, ready to take on any new adventure which comes his way. đ Heâs funny and fearless, but has a sensitive side too.
Matteo (Raphael Alejandro) is super cautious. Heâs always prepared for the worst-case scenario, which means that camp can sometimes bring up some scary situations. đ€ But, with the help of his friends, Matteo will discover that he is capable of more than he realises.
Noah (Israel Johnson) is a new camp counsellor and drama specialist. đ But while heâs very enthusiastic, heâs going to have to learn on the job as he has no actual experience of camp apart from a cameo in the film Summer Camp 6.
Ava (Shelby Simmons) is another first-time counsellor. Sheâs from the big city and is not to be messed with. đïž She is another camp newbie and isnât even sure if she likes kids, but hopefully this gang will bring her around.

@@kayek8751 I disagree. Seasons 4 and 5 at least for me was a step in the right direction for the show. The new characters are not only more compelling and developed than the ogs, but they successfully keep continuity in check. The whole reason lou owns the camp now is because of the Ross's actions. Thus, their impact is still felt, whether they appear or not. They also expand on the lore of moose rump and the camp which I also appreciated. These seasons deserve way more love honestly. I expected season 4 to be a train wreck but I'm so happy the writers proved me wrong.

Disney completely forgot this show is meant to be a spin off of Jessie... it shouldâve ended when the Ross kids left bc it was never supposed to be about Lou, Destiny , Mateo, or the other characters it was supposed to show the Ross kidsâ lives after Jessie left now itâs just about a bunch of random new kids that got nothing to do with Jessie
No. They didn't. Seasons 4 and 5 exist because of the Ross's. And they established that from the very start of season 4. They kept the continuity of the first 3 seasons of bunkd and jessie. For me at least, I like seasons 4 and 5. They really go back to what made the show great to begin with, and that's the camp ascetic and diversity in its characters. While not as diverse as the original, all of the new characters feel different from one another and come from different walks of life. I especially love how they massively improved and fleshed out finn Mateo and destiny whom I did not like throughout season 3. The new characters are also really fun too and they get a ton of development that gets carried over into season 5 so you feel how much they've changed. Overall, I'd suggest giving these later 2 seasons a shot. It may not be the same bunkd woth the same cast but you might have a good time with it

I watched seasons 1-4 completely and two episodes of season 5. I have been thinking about the cast changing and how fans are dealing with that. I really liked your opinion on this matter... although I understand why many fans dislike seasons 3-5 and others didn't like them that much. I would like to share my thoughts with you. You know, I love series that are long lasting... Seeing and analyzing how a character evolves from season to season is so interesting and many viewers even create an affectionate bond with the characters and the actors themselves. Also, it's so cool to see how kids grow physically and their acting skills improve. However, I have to say that I understand people's frustration and when they say that the show without the Ross siblings shouldn't even exist. In my opinion, they left the show pretty "early". I would like to know under what circumstances that decision was made. It was only the producers? Or did Peyton, Karan and/or Skai show signs that they wanted to work on something else? Maybe both, I don't know, but I think the fans and the show's storyline needed them at least for a while more. Season 3 was very interesting especially because the Ross's bought the camp... but I feel everything happened so fast... It only had 16 episodes and the last one I was like... "Ahh, what?" đI really liked how different the Ross siblings's perceptions of owning the camp were and I wanted to see more of that, honestly. Another thing: Although it's not that I hate them, when Xander, Jorge and Tiffany were edited out, I didn't really care... I felt the Ross were still the 'highlights', so to speak, so it was fine for me. By the way, do you know why the screenwriters treated Xander, Jorge and Tiffany as if they never existed in the show in season 3? It really looked like Emma broke up with him and that she hated him since she never said a single word about him back then. Oh, and when the Woodchucks showed Destiny their photo album, Tiffany was not in any picture... That was sad because even though they weren't my favorite characters, they are part of the storyline. At least, Hazel was back in one episode of season 4. Even though, I didn't like her, when I saw her and she mentioned Xander... I was like: "Oh, that was good. They are showing at least a tiny bit of a connection with Bunk'd's original storyline". Back to the Ross siblings'... I think that, even if they were older, it would have still made sense if they continued at Kikiwaka as Lou's assistant camp directors or something... Because the show takes place in summer and that wouldn't spoil their "future careers/dreams" that take place during the other months of the year. At the very least, they should have kept Ravi because I think he cared about the camp the most and all the other characters made fun of him very hard and that was extremely hilarious, hahaha. I'm saying all this because when a show keeps on going, the fans don't really want to see their characters being edited out (because a good way of keeping good audience levels is keeping the original characters as much as possible, don't you think?). With that being said, I have to say that I really appreciate the new cast. I agree with you on Finn, Mateo and Destiny. I really like them. Finn and Mateo are so cute and comical in their own special ways, haha. Ava is a great character, too. Seeing Ava in episode 1 of season 4 and in episode 1 of season 5... Wow, what a change. I loved her character's transformation. She was even jealous of Emma! Hahahaha! I would like to know your opinion on what I wrote. Greetings.

I feel like Emma and Sam Larusso would be friends, bc they have both jumped between boys multiple times(so they can spend hours talking about boys), they are both pretty sweet, funny, and playful, they both have annoying little brothers, they both have rich families(they can go to each other's houses) and they both dress girly(so they could go shopping together). If Emma were to be in Cobra Kai, she would be Tory's long lost twin sister, who is the total opposite of Tory. Sam could teach Emma how to fight, and Emma can teach Sam how to get befriend/get on Tory's good side, since Emma befriended Hazel in 1 episode of Bunk'ed and tried to see things from Hazel's perspective. It would also be awesome if Zuri could be in Cobra Kai, since she broke a board in 1 episode of Jessie. Emma, Moon, and Yasmin would also get along swell. This would make for a totally interesting fanfiction story.

I see a lot of negative comments about this show so i want to share my thoughts
Now first a lot of people say that Bunk'd is a Jessie spin off and i can agree that's how it started out but i believe it turned into it's own show which i think is great and i also understand why people get upset that this show removes basically every character there some characters i really miss but the addition of new characters can be fun for example Destiny has become one of favorites she started off as just a pageant girl but evolved into a girl who deeply cares about the Earth she cleans lakes and protect trees and i think that's amazing so many people spend time on computers phones and TV's but how many look outside and just appreciate nature i personally love it the sunlight reflecting off the water the different colors of trees it's really beautiful and so far there isn't any main characters in Bunk'd that annoy me Parker did kinda annoy me in his first episode but i began to like him after he explained his story actually i just remembered there is one character that was kinda annoying and i will probably get negative replies because of me saying this but i am not to fond of Zuri's character she's not a horrible character but she does annoy me when she is being disrespectful to give a example she feels the need to correct people when they disagree with her taste in music another example she said she would endanger Emma just to blow up her ChatSnap Zuri does have her nice moments but when she is disrespectful it is annoying although to be fair a lot of the characters have disrespectful comments about their fellow campers getting back to the new campers i do like them Noah,Ava,Finn,Destiny,Mateo,Gwen,Griff, and Parker they are all good characters Bunk'd is not an amazing series and not every episode is entertaining but i still like the series the charm of Bunk'd hasn't gone away sure we all miss Emma,Ravi,Xander,Griff,Gwen,Tiffany,Jorge and Hazel but so long as the current character remain to be enjoyable the series will also be enjoyable i would probably give Bunk'd a 7.5 out of 10 rating

@@Slayer9568 completely agree. It was much better than the first 2. It's sad it took them til season 4 to do the Christmas in July shtick. I enjoyed the emotional hook that episode had with destiny. I legit teared up when I first watched it. And yea there seems to be alot of hate for this season which ultimately boils down to the Ross's not being there. Which is a fair critique but since the writers dot their i's and cross their t's I don't see it as an issue. Especially since Emma herself comes back
@@darwinbowman8512 Out of all the characters that left the show Ravi might be the one i miss the most either him or Gwen Ravi is my favorite of all the Ross's Emma is my second favorite and Gwen i love how at the start she didn't know anything about human technology and she was just a lot of fun to watch and her romance with Matteo was great it's a bit of shame that they became boyfriend and girlfriend after she left but it's better then not becoming a couple at all
@@Slayer9568 my favorite would have to be Emma. I felt this show did her character better than in jessie. It took me up until the 5th episode of season 4 for me to warm up to Gwen. She was fine but after 4 episodes in, it was clear to me several characters were getting arcs and I wanted to see if she got one and she did and it's very compelling. She's also pretty funny having alot of the darker humorous jokes in the show. Also, massive hotake but her Matteo are hands down the best couple in this show. I don't like we don't see alot of it but what we do see is wholesome as heck. I felt this ship was well paced and didn't feel forced. Unlike Xander and Emma who from the getgo are instantly attracted to one another. There was no buildup to it, it just kinda happened. Overall though, if there's one thing that seasons 4 and 5 have over the first 3 seasons it's character writing. Which may not seem major but it really is. The ogs felt to flat and stereotypical looking back. Whereas these characters feel very fleshed out. Putting new showrunners for the show was the best decision they could've made. They breathed new life into this show. Side note, I would recommend you check out the show's 100th episode cause it tackles the concept of legacy in different ways

I thought Season 4 was their final season but I stand corrected and my hopes for ending their show with that season was all for nothing
It was a good show until the ânewâ kids came, then it just got irritating
After the ross kids left season 3 was the last good season
@@clancysworld8188 I strongly disagree. Season 3 was the worst season out of them all. Seasons 4 and 5 feel like a return to form. At least to me. The characters are handled better, I enjoy where they take lou in these 2 seasons and it kept continuity of the entire series long before Emma came back in this episode. The Ross's are the reason why the franchise lives on without them. And honestly I'm fine with them not being there I like these new characters.
