Always good to see MaxDOG TeeTee! Traveling alone can be a relaxing experience since everything is on your own terms, but traveling with other people is fun too! Mio's stories like these are always a nice part of AsaMio, very wholesome to hear that Mio wished she could be traveling with her mom and that she had a great time with Korone going to the gemstone festival!
Ahh yes the Hokkaido trip with Korone lol, I remember when she first talked about that last year. Her getting embarrassed and deleting the message is still really cute lol, glad those two were able to have a lot of fun! As someone who has been one of those overseas tourists who has asked if a Japanese local could take our picture (in Hokkaido no less), I do always feel bad asking because the last thing I want to come across as is a rude tourist when traveling abroad...lol. To Mio's solo-travel point, having done a solo trip to Japan just recently myself that feeling of "how do I do this" is far too real. Planning all by yourself can feel so stressful between wondering if you did enough or used your time wisely, but the MioFa's advice of just going with the flow at your own pace is exactly how I got through it. Every experience is unique, so you just need to enjoy being in the moment!
Mio is just too cute! She… seriously is too sweet! She may have gotten lonely during her first trip to hokkaido, but her revenge trip was nowhere near that with the addition of Korone to the mix! I hope they once again can go back to hokkaido together and finally get that corn. Mio’s interactions with her dear friends are way too precious!
Just imagine there are people out there, who unwittingly got THE Big God Mion to take their photo. Absolutely blessed!!!
Korone is the perfect friend, she is shy and doesn’t reach out much (many members have said this) but will always accept an invitation if she has time and makes sure her friends are happy first
And her being such a goofball guarantees there's never a dull moment.

There is a not 0% chance that some kaigainiki has a photo from their trip to Hokkaido and don't realize they had Mio take it.
My trick for enjoying solo trips is having spent way too much time around people in day to day life. Hang out with people every weekend and such and you'll be so starved for some alone time that the solo trip will feel amazing
For me solo travel doesn't have to equal being alone, meeting people for a meal, chatting to locals, etc. I need my alone time as well as sharing time with others, but a balance is best!
How to enjoy a solo trip: do whatever the fuck you want whenever the fuck you want. You wanna stay at the hotel all day and go out a bit at night? Yeah, do that. You wanna eat something new? No need to ask anyone if they want, just do that. Wanna visit some place? Go ahead. The trip is for you, nobody else. Enjoy it at your own leisure.

Also, being able to eat a lot, in my opinion, is a "must have skill" for solo travel...
If you can't enjoy loneliness u won't enjoy a solo trip at it fullest

Solo trip only work if you actually can handle being alone. Or at least you have things to keep you busy. Like a hobby. Or just people that like to enjoy the view.
