This made me feel positive for my journey/ process with my horse. Have sat on him for the first time since last Oct this week with a lovely new saddle and done about 5 minutes of walk. I have a few things I want to do but it is so about the journey. What i learn about him and how we cope with things so thank you 😊

Ive come to a very similar conclusion. I love riding my horse and competitions are nice but ultimately the score or placing is just that. Aslong as me and my horse are happy, healthy and there is no accidents im winning. Great video, hope your keeping okay. Xx

I love having these test with the voice over of the marks and comments because I wouldn't be able to see as much myself but hearing what I should be looking out for I learn so much. I don't know if that makes sense but as a rather novice rider I learn a lot from watching but even more from watching with commentary as I wouldn't notice a lot of things if they weren't pointed out :)

At 65, just getting back to some showing the last few months. Not the same horse as at home, but so proud to take him out and happy for he and I to learn about showing as a team AND the last show I did all the work of loading, trailering 1 1/2 hrs, braiding etc. by myself, when I hadn't been for quite a while. He enjoys getting out and is eager to get in that arena and show himself, so I can't complain if he's a bit rushed and not together for now. Too hot now, but aiming for more in the fall.

Sorry to hear you have Covid I had it at the very beginning, and count myself very lucky to have got over it seeing as I am from the older generation. I love watching you videos because you are calm and talk a lot of sense. You have been on a long journey and continue to do so, I will still look to any future videos you put up. Best wishes from a avid former rider.

Absolutely love this, start to finish, Miri. You are 100% spot on - I used to obsess over the result with my young and maturing mare but as our relationship has developed over time I've come to love and appreciate the journey - celebrating the great bits, recognizing why the not-so-great bits might have happened. Being forgiving of both of us because we deserve it. I love her with my whole heart, as you clearly do Zora. And our progress and connection are the thing I value the most (though it's also fun when we win stuff ;)) Anyway, I'll stop blathering. Kudos to you for being such a thoughtful, mindful, honest and helpful teacher.

Oh I love you so much as a couple. Really amazing to see the work in progress! I'm sure you'll do an absolute fantastic job in the next tests. If it's "just" the medium walk, canter and trot you'll get 7 and 8 in no time, and with a horse that's only 6. Good thing you've got something to work on!

It's way more important to have an good time between the white fences and make your miles with her. Keep practicing with young Zorah, one day you will be there. Wish you feel better now. 🇳🇱🌬💞

Always love your content!!! Your philosophy is so spot on - for the rider and the horse. Stay in that Zen space. 😁. PS. Need a good headshot of Zora in her new bridle!!! ❤️❤️❤️

I know the feeling with the dressage scores- I have done alot of dressage up to Novice and my highest score was 63% which was still good but I still felt like It wasn't showing the hard work I put into it. Then a few weeks ago I did a preliminary and got 71.5% which was amazing and came 2st in the class! Just to feel how much the horse tries for you is everything. Well done for that amazing score and lovely round. Hopefully you'll be doing more soon.

I so enjoy your videos, and Zora is just so pretty. Maybe if you don't put so much pressure on yourself you might do better.

So sorry you have covid , had it as well sucks! Zora looked amazing, judging is always subjective, just got back from a show as well - judging was extremely tough.

Very curious about the bit you're using on Zorra. Would you mind writing the name in the description or somewhere? I'd like to look it up. You guys look amazing as always, especially for a first show back. Glad to see Zor feeling her best again!
