We didn't have ceremonies when I went Air Force BMT in 1970. The day after our our last day of training I just got on bus going to Sheppard AFB.
They've had a graduation ceremony for many years now. At least the last 20 years.
We still shipped out to tech school the very next morning. 🙃

@@ProjectWink you definitely won’t fail! You are super motivated. Getting Honor Grad is a huge accomplishment and I’m sure Tech school won’t be as stressful as you might think once you get into a routine. I was a mental health specialist and the training was a bit fast paced because you do a lot of school work and training in a short amount of time, but it wasn’t too ridiculous.
I miss seeing the jack rabbits at 5am during PT in Texas😀
That's exactly how this is. Super fast paced. Lots of info at once. 🥴 I'm so nervous about it. Lol

I know we don't know each other but I AM SO PROUD OF YOU! I have been thinking about enlisting but I've been a loser my whole life and am terrified to join. I can't imagine being away from my son for those months. You did it though. You made it. You succeeded! Please don't judge me, but you have no idea how much of an inspiration you are to me for this! I hope that all your dreams come true and want to thank you right now for stepping up for all of us civilians! You freaking rock and you are a wingman, leader and warrior! Cheers from Memphis!
I would never judge someone for not yet living out their dreams. It took me over 10 years to finally start my dream.
That's why I make these videos. Sure they're like little video scrapbooks I can look back on later but more importantly they can help other people. There aren't many people that are willing to leave their kids to go and join the military later in their lives - I did that. I hope to encourage, support and inspire others to do the same.
I appreciate your kind words and I hope you can find it within yourself to stop the doubt and go chase your dream too.

@@ProjectWinkYour made it through BMT. The you and the AF thought that your AFSC was a good fit for you. Your teachers will want you to succeed. Whenever you leave the military you will have a career path will help you find a job. Who knows maybe you'll decide to take up an RN degree. Big hugs for your acomplishments

I was so excited to see there was a video from you! I was wondering when your graduation was, I knew it had to be soon. I got a little teary when you picked Calvin up and he just hung on to you so tight. I’m sure it’s been a little hard on him. Going back to California was probably hard for both of them. How long is tech school? I’m assuming they are going to assign you to Travis since your Travis is stationed there. Anyway, I knew you could do it and you deserve to be proud of yourself! Thanks again for your willingness to serve our country😊
