  • Our TPG Drop-On Adapters (formerly "Quick Adapters") represent an economical and reliable means to connect TPG System T-tracks to your Festool guide rail. Compatible with all TPG T-tracks (both right- and left-hand), the Drop-On TPG Adapter connects using the M6 Comfort Grip Star Knobs and CNC-Machined Centering Spacers included with each TPG-30 and TPG-30/50 Set. It will not interfere with track saw plunge cuts, and can be easily moved along the guide rail once properly configured. Once placed on your guide rail, the Drop-On TPG Adapter can be fine-tuned by adjusting the two "zero clearance adjustment" screws to eliminate unwanted play; this procedure only has to be performed during first use. When a more permanent attachment is desired, the Drop-On TPG Adapter can be secured to your guide rail with the included torpedo nut and top-mounted screws, just like the original "Slide-On" TPG Adapter. All adjustments can be made with a 3mm Ball Hex Driver (included in the TPG-30 and TPG-30/50 Sets).
The Drop-On TPG Adapter performs the same function as our original "Slide-On" TPG Adapter, with the added option of even faster setup and removal thanks to its included tool-less quick attachment feature.
Note the Drop-On TPG Adapter is ONLY compatible with Festool brand guide rails. For Makita and Triton tracks, stick to the original Slide-On TPG Adapter.

I really like the drop-on adapter. I now take the guides off after positioning the rail, so they don't interfere with my hose when I reference the closest edge. This is a differentiating feature from TSO's competitors. I believe the TSO parallel guide system is the best.

I just got my quick adapter and it's amazing! It works so well I'm going to remove my fence on my MFT SysCart, replace it with your close fit dogs, and use the quick adapter the TPG for measuring crosscut distance ... I suspect it will work wonderfully.
BTW, what pencil are you using there Hans ... I like it!

Looking at this how could anyone with festool rails consider any other parallel guides?

  • @sekritskworl-sekrit_studios

Is there an overall product setup video for the parallel guide? There's like 2 flip-stop videos and this adapter video but not setup video for the whole thing.

After seeing the design, it would seem to be straightforward to offer these for other rails. Makita tracks, please!

Man...was excited about this until I read it doesn't work with the Makita tracks. Oh well the original style doesn't take too long to install.
